Thank you for the nice suggestions :) I have a lot of difficulties and I consider myself in troubles when it comes to use "illuminate/brighten/light up/enlighten", because their translations are the same for me :(
As for the 3rd suggestion, I didn't understand what you meant. Are you sure you were refering to "I like this union, I am happy for having you, (my) love"? Because your suggestion does not make sense to me.
Oops I think I wrote the wrong line number ...
I meant the line that goes like this: ..'and look can touch a heart' - I was just suggesting alternative translations of 'touch' :) 'and look can stir/tug at/have an effect on/ affect the heart'
Illuminate/brighten/light up roughly mean the same thing, it's just that in English there are so many synonyms for the same word...
Also could you explain what you mean by 'in the first look', it sounds a bit odd... :)

Ok, some suggestions for you :D
I don't think you need 'the' before 'love' unless you're referring to a specific 'love'...
Verse 1, line 1: 'when I least expected it love caught up with me'
Verse 1, line 3: 'from the first look, it won/won over/ captivated/captured my heart' I'm guessing olhar = mirada so I won't argue with the 'look' translation :)
Verse 1, line 5: 'stir/tug at/have an effect on/ affect the heart'
Verse 2, line 4/5: 'which lights up/ brightens/illuminates/lightens the sparkle in your eyes - 'enlighten' usually means to give information/ spiritual guidance so it might not work so well in this context
