Seaman's Rose (Seemannsrose)

превод на енглески

Seaman's Rose

Come, my beautiful ensign,
let's take a stroll.
Let down the sailor's pants
all shall see us fumbling.
Come, my beautiful ensign,
stuff the leak for me.
You are my sailor's rose,
soon, I'll scrub your deck.

Far, so far away were you, my harbor.
I'd love, love so much to stay with you tonight.
Far, so far - I had to wait so long for you.
Gladly, so gladly you have lit my fire.

You are not alone, sailor,
spread the sail.
Buy yourself a couple of scratch-off tickets,
Boy, I will be faithful to you.
Show me your mast, sailor,
throw out the anchor.
Quickly withered, the sailor's rose,
there you go! Full speed ahead!

Far, so far away were you, my harbor.
I'd love, love so much to stay with you tonight.
Far, so far - I had to wait so long for you.
Gladly, so gladly you have lit my fire.

Yohoho, the sailor's rose.
Yohoho, yes, sir - Ahoy!

This song is very reminiscent of Rammstein's stylings. It almost seems like a parody of them, Dero even trills his r's at times and uses very odd grammar mechanics as Rammstein are famous for.

I am not sure about translating "Leichtmatrose" as "boring seaman". I Google'd the word Leightmatrose and it seems it's a term for a seaman between the ranks of Junge and Vollmatrose.
So it's a pretty junior position on a ship, I guess.
Not sure how it can be worked into the translated lyrics. "Sailor-boy"?

Judging by Leicht(matrose) my guess would be seamen, deck cadets or seaboys

Thanks, I've changed the lyrics accordingly.
