Utan varandra [Uden hinanden]

Hemlighetsfulla faller flingor hit
som stjärnestoft och målar skogen vintervit
Håll om mig,
det är så kallt här utan dig

Utan varandra är vi ingenting,
två flingor som virvlar i en vintervind,
men står vi tillsammans i pakten
kan inget nånsin skilja oss åt

Превод

Without Each Other [Uden Hinanden]

Secretive,1 snowflakes 2 fall here3
Like stardust, and paint the forest winter white4
Hold me,5
It's so cold here without you

Without each other we are nothing,
Two snowflakes2 that twirl in a winter wind
But if we stand together in the pact
Nothing can ever separate us

  • 1. Or possibly "enigmatic" in this context.
  • 2. a. b. Lit. "flakes", but the context makes it most likely to be snowflakes.
  • 3. Or "this way".
  • 4. Or "wintery white".
  • 5. Or "embrace me", "hug me"; but this is more literal.

Yes, I believe it is the Swedish version of the opening credits of a Danish children's TV show which was used as an advent calendar in 2009. Maybe you know this already, but in the Nordic countries (and perhaps elsewhere?) there is a custom of televised (and radio broadcast) advent calendars with 24 episodes; one broadcast each day until Christmas Eve (which is the main day of Christmas celebration in the Nordic countries).

You can read more about it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nordic_Christmas_calendar
Here's the IMDB page for the show: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1475526/

It's mostly for kids, but I guess their parents (and some others) watch them too. I don't watch much TV anymore either... I guess my computer, armed with an internet connection, won the war against my TV. ;)
