Imillitay
Imillitay
Dijiste que me querias
pero no es verdad
siempre jugaste conmigo
y aun te supe amar
vivo pensado olvidarte
y no lo consigo
tus recuerdos son espinas
que hieren mi alma
(Coro)
Muyusta muyusta imillitay conquejinay
muyusta muyusta imillitay sajer parihuanqui (imillitay)
sajer parihuanqui puni (imillitay)
sajer parihuanqui puni
Dijiste que me querias
pero no es verdad
siempre jugaste conmigo
y aun te supe amar
vivo pensado olvidarte
y no lo consigo
tus recuerdos son espinas
que hieren mi alma
(Coro)
Muyusta muyusta imillitay conquejinay
muyusta muyusta imillitay sajer parihuanqui (imillitay)
sajer parihuanqui puni (imillitay)
sajer parihuanqui puni
(imillitay) sajer parihuanqui puni
(imillitay) sajer parihuanqui puni
(imillitay) sajer parihuanqui puni
(imillitay) sajer parihuanqui puni
Imillitay
you told me that you want me
but it's not true
you always played with me
and you knew love
I live thinking to forget you
and not with him
tus recuerdos son espinas
que hieren mi alma
(Chorus)
Muyusta muyusta imillitay conquejinay
muyusta muyusta imillitay sajer parihuanqui (imillitay)
sajer parihuanqui puni (imillitay)
sajer parihuanqui puni
you told that you want me
but it's not true
you always played with me
and you even knew love
I live thinking to forget you
and not with him
your memories are spines
that hurt my soul
(Coro)
Muyusta muyusta imillitay conquejinay
muyusta muyusta imillitay sajer parihuanqui (imillitay)
sajer parihuanqui puni (imillitay)
sajer parihuanqui puni
(imillitay) sajer parihuanqui puni
(imillitay) sajer parihuanqui puni
(imillitay) sajer parihuanqui puni
(imillitay) sajer parihuanqui puni

The lyrics of Imillitay are sung in Spanish and Quechua, Quechua the indigenous language of the Central Andean of South America. Many groups cover Imillitay including Alborada and Los Jkarkas (pronounced Los "har kes").
Quechua is no way, not even remotely related to the foreign Spanish language or the linguistic family from which Spanish is from.Contemporary Quechua is widely spoken today and still used by the Andean people as their first primary language as many of the indigenous only have a basic working knowledge of Spanish that they use when in the cities or with tourists.
Spanish was introduced during the Spanish inquisition of South America in 1532 when it was used to control and domination the indigenous when the conquistadors outlawed their native language. Due to the tenacity of the Andean people they kept Quechua alive and what you hear today is the descendant of the lanuage spoken during the colonial period as well as during Pre columbian times prior to the arrival of Spain.
Quechua is a branch of the Quechumaran language family and is still spoken as the first language in the Central Andean Regions of Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador (Quichua dialect spoken in Ecuador), Chile and Argentina to name a few.
It was made the official language of Peru and Bolivia and is used during official political events.
