That’s Just The Way It Always Is In Life

Tyska

So ist es eben immer im Leben

So ist es eben immer im Leben,
so wird es immer sein. [Chor]
So ist es eben immer im Leben,
so wird es immer sein. [L,Y]

Meinst Du, es kommt ein Prinz
wie im Märchen auch mal zu mir? [Y]
Wunder gibt es auch heut',
vielleicht steht er schon vor der Tür. [L]
Aber die Tür ist zu
und mein Prinz, der kann nicht herein. [Y]
So ist es eben immer im Leben,
so wird es immer sein. [L]
So ist es eben immer im Leben,
so wird es immer sein. [L,Y]

Ich wär' so gerne reich... [Y]
...und was hast Du vom vielen Geld? [L]
Könnt' mir ein Pony kaufen
und alles, was mir gefällt [Y] (Lachen) [L]
und wenn ich alles hab'... [Y]

That’s Just The Way It Always Is In Life

That’s just the way it always is in life
That’s the way it’ll always be
That’s just the way it always is in life
That’s the way it’ll always be

Do you mean a prince will come
For me too, like in a fairytale?
Miracles still happen today
Perhaps he’s right outside your door
But the door is closed
And my prince can’t come inside
That’s just the way it always is in life
That’s the way it’ll always be
That’s just the way it always is in life
That’s the way it’ll always be

I would love to be rich
And what would you do with so much money?
I could buy me a pony
And everything that I like
And when I have it all
Yeah, then you’d certainly want more
That’s just the way it always is in life
That’s why it’s so hard
That’s just the way it always is in life
That’s why it’s so hard

I’ve cried many times
…oh, I know how it continues
There’s no one in the world
Who loves me and understands me
Darling, that’s not true
Oh, people just imagine it
That’s just the way it always is in life
That’s the way it’ll always be
That’s just the way it always is in life
That’s the way it’ll always be

Hi, brightswan,
thank you very much for the translation! Smile
I know that maybe it seems strange to make a request for english and than to make notices about the translation.
I'm really not "very" sure in english, but I understand some. So here some questions:
1. I'm missing the translation of the word eben, in german it means something like "what can you do/you cannot do nothing/you just to have to accept it"
2. "Perhaps he stands (the prince) right outside your door" instaed of "Perhaps they’re right outside your door"
3. "I would love so much to be rich" (... gerne reich...)
4. "And what do you have in savings" I really couldn't translate this, because my english is not so well, but "und was hast Du vom vielen Geld?" means in German something like " and what will you do with [all the/ so much] money?", and at last:
5 "oh, das bildet man sich nur ein" the person of this is not "you (imagining...)", but generally the people. In German I hear the message of this, that she isn't alone in thinking that nobody loves and understand her.
All this notices are only for teamworking., you have 5 Stars and 1 "thanks" anyway from me for helping Wink

Good Morning, Marinos!!

Thank you for your comments; I always like to make improvements when improvements are there to be made! Smile
To your comments:
1. eben:in this text, eben is being used as an emphasis word to make a statement stronger. I went ahead and wove it into the text: "That's just the way it always is in life." Eben = just.
2. The prince - I changed "they're" to "er" = he.
3. Word by word: Ich wär' so gerne reich = "I would like so much to be rich." I combined "so" with "gerne" = "love" to be rich.
4. Taking another look at the text, I have re-worked it: "und was hast Du vom vielen Geld?" now = "And what would you do with so much money?" Just for information, savings = savings account = Sparkonto.
5. oh, das bildet man sich nur ein: you are right - "people" fits here much better than "you." Smile

Thanks again! Smile

Shock Now your translation have become a hammer!!! Smile
1. I know that's not easy to translate some words from one language in an other, because of the different ways of development of them, so you must find something else that comes close enough to the meaning in the original text, but I like this one...
2. Smile thanks
3. Ok, I didn't saw it this way, sorry.
4. I knew and understood what savings account means Smile. This was the reason, I maked this notice Wink, but I really believe that the last version is the closest to the original meaning, thanks for using it.
5.Smile thanks
You welcome, and I'm thankful for the nice teamworking with you WinkSmile:biggrin:
Oh, I found one more:
im Märchen (singular) --> in fairytales (plural), but I don't believe that the two meanings here are so much far away, what do you think about it? (surely you should be careful in some other lyrics...)

Okay - I googled it, and 2,150,000 to 74,700 says singular is better!!

This indiscriminate use of italics is really hard to read. How do you stop it? I much prefer a regular font.

I will check and find out!
