Are You Dreaming?

Tyska

Träumst du?

Du weißt genauso gut wie ich
Dass ich nicht schlafen kann
Denn meine Träume kreisen
Immer nur um dich

Ich habe nächtelang gewartet
Dass du zu mir kommst
Jetzt gib mir endlich deine Hand

Komm doch bitte bitte bitte
Noch ein bisschen näher
Komm doch bitte bitte bitte
Noch ein bisschen näher

Are You Dreaming?

Versions: #1#2#3#4#5

You know as well as I do
That I can't sleep
Because my dreams are
Always focused on you

I've waited all night
For you to come to me
Now finally give me your hand
And come into the light

It's a tiny little step
And there's no going back

Will you dream with me tonight
Will you jump with me tonight

This great freedom is the door
To your paradise
Free will quickly becomes
Your own rope.

I know that you can't bare
The noise of life
And from silence we separate
For just a moment

Will you dream with me tonight
Will you jump with me tonight
Will you dream with me tonight
Will you come with me to the roof

Please please please come
Just a little closer
Please please please come
Just a little closer

Translation notes for those who care:
I do not follow the original word order in most of the phrases. I translate meaning, not words.
Kreisen basically means to circle or obit, and the full separable prefix, umkreisen, means to revolve around. Based on the meaning, and the fact that there's no good English word to literally translate it in this sentence, "focus" seemed like the best choice.
"Naechtelang" means "for (many) nights." That sounds a little awkward, so I changed it to "all night".
The literal translation of "und es gibt kein zurueck mehr" is "And there isn't a back anymore." (as in: no going back, hence my translation)
I changed "die" in "die grosse Freiheit" to from 'the' to 'this' (diese), because that's closer to the equivalent English sentence structure.
The chorus can be translated into a few formats because of German present tense. So "Are you...", "Do you..." and "Will you..." are all acceptable. I decided that furture tense was implied by the "heut nacht" (tonight) and used "Will you dream with me tonight...."
The actual meaning of Seligkeit is "beatitude", "blissfulness" or "salvation." I felt that "paradise" summed up all of the meanings in one word.
The entire phrase of "Der freie Wille wird dir schnell zum eignen Strick" was impossible to translate directly. Literally (without changing word order) it is "The free will becomes to/for you quickly to the [proper] rope/tether/halter." I think eignen (to be proper) is a typo, and should be eigenem (one's own). That is how it is spelled on other sites and it makes more sense.
"Stille" means silence and calm. I used "silence" in the lyrics to offset the "noise of life" line.
"Sich trennen" means to divide or break up. Even though those words are stronger than separate, I wasn't sure they were giving the right meaning. Trennen alone means "to separate" so I chose the more basic translation.
A more informative translation of "Komm doch bitte bitte bitte noch ein bissschen naeher:" the "Komm doch" is a command and is imparting a sense of urgency. The "bittes" literally mean "please," but are grammatically being used to soften the command into a request. The "noch" before "ein bisschen naeher" shows that the implied "you" is already close, and should get closer.
