  • 1. "croiser" reminds of "géogroiseur" = near-Earth asteroid
  • 2. Usually a "bolide" is a fast vehicle (e.g. a racing car or a rocket). A bolide (in both French and English) is also a bright meteor: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolide

Lovely translation - Just one thought though, as you say in your note a "bolide" can be a meteor. Don't you think "meteor" is the best description for something that traverses spaces and then crashes to earth? Flying down like a meteor sounds very natural whereas rockets (in general) fly up. :)

Also, did you mean "huge lighting"? I would think "huge bolt of lightning" would be better?

You're right, in English "meteor" makes more sense. Thanks. :) In French it's easier, because "bolide" is just about speed, you don't know if it's flying up or down.
