Rammstein - Mein Land (İngilizce translation)

İngilizce translation

My Land

Versiyonlar: #1#2#3#4
Where are you going? Where?
I'm going with myself from east to south

Where are you going? Where?
I'm going with myself from south to west

Where are you going? Where?
I'm going with myself from west to north

There he comes running
With the flag in his hands
My land, my land

Here you are in my land
My land, my land

Here you are in my land
My land, my land

Where are you going? Where?
I'm going with myself from north to east

Where are you going? Where?
I'm going with myself from east to west

Where are you going? Where?
I'm going alone from land to land.

And nothing and no one
Invites me to stay
My land, my land

Here you are in my land
My land, my land

Here you are in my land
My waves and my shore
Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaah

A voice out of the light
Falls out off the sky's face
Tears apart the horizon
Where do you go to, here is no space left for you

This is my land
This is my land
This is my land

My land, my land
Here you are in my land

My land, my land
Here you are in my land
My waves and my shore
My land

Banished, my land
Banishing, my land
Forgotten, my land
I've got no place to stay
My land

Thx for the correction.

ssSchneidi    Cum, 11/11/2011 - 13:41

Maybe I made a mistake, but I hear Welle instead of Wälder.

Ginada    Cum, 11/11/2011 - 14:04

I don't know, I do not know the song, I just thought forest are more logical than voters Regular smile I'll check it

Ginada    Cum, 11/11/2011 - 14:09

Ok I I checked it and I still think it's Wälder, although it sometimes does sound a bit like Welle

dunkelheit    Cum, 11/11/2011 - 14:35

I say Welle, also it makes more sense when you watch the video..

Addition: Coincidently I've found some other Germans who say it's "Welle".

Blogwalda    Cum, 11/11/2011 - 23:30

Got to agree with dunkelheit, except I am pretty sure it is Wellen (plural of Welle).

rammsteinfan990    Cum, 16/12/2011 - 04:25

A couple of things:
I think "Where do you go to" and "I go" should be "Where are you going ('to' isn't necessary)" and "I'm going"
"With myself" should be "by myself"

Sciera    Cum, 20/01/2012 - 17:17

I think "with myself" is more correct here when you look at how it's expressed in the german lyrics.

There are some other lines that seem strage to me but I think first we need the official lyrics. There seem to be a lot of mistakes in the german text (or in the translation) comparing it to the translation.

dunkelheit    Cum, 20/01/2012 - 17:19

Wait, the lyrics had been changed, so these are wrong again? Ginada's translation belongs to the old text.

Ginada    Cum, 20/01/2012 - 21:08

Oh dear the lyrics are changed. We should somehow make sure they don't completely change after translations have been added.
I really don't feel like reworking it right now

bockmist_total    Salı, 17/04/2012 - 16:49

"Meine Welle und mein Strand" - "My waves and my beach"

Ginada    Pzr, 22/04/2012 - 14:58

okay the translation now matches the new lyircs

Sciera    Pzr, 22/04/2012 - 19:33

Sieht soweit gut aus. Allerdings bin ich immernoch der Meinung, dass "ich geh mit mir" mit "I'm going with myself" und nicht mit "I'm going by myself" übersetzt werden sollte. Letzteres bedeutet nämlich "Ich gehe selbst(ständig)/ohne fremde Hilfe".

"Meine Welle und mein Strand"
->
"My wave and my beach"
Ich denke, "shore" wäre eher "Küste".

"hier ist nichts mehr frei"
->
"here is nothing left for you"
???
Das hast du wohl noch nicht an die Aktualisierung angepasst.

Ginada    Pzt, 23/04/2012 - 13:43

Ok ich folge jetzt mal Scieras Empfehlung und habe by in with geändert. Regular smile
Beach klingt aber nach meinem Gefühl zu sehr nach Sonne und Ferien, es geht ja eher um das Land an sich, deshalb habe ich bewusst shore gewählt

I'm listening to Mein Land from Made In Germany, and there is a line missing in this translation, from 3:06-3:09.
(added it in)

Du bist hier im meinem Land
Meine Welle und mein Strand
"Meine Palm und mein Sand!"
Jaaaaaaaaaah

ssSchneidi    Salı, 07/08/2012 - 21:31

Then I'm really happy Whatchutalkingabout smile , I know 3 or 4 versions from this song. I listened to (all I have) it and the demos contains this text.
Checked the official video, the single and MIG rip too.
Whats the duration of the song?

Daniel Mann    Pzt, 04/01/2016 - 21:20

You know "Mein Land" translates to "My Country" right?

Sciera    Salı, 05/01/2016 - 17:52

"Mein Land" can also mean "my land". But I agree that "country" would be a better word choice in this context.
Btw, the author of this translation hasn't been online here since almost 3 years.
