Natasha St-Pier - Un ange frappe à ma porte (İngilizce translation)

İngilizce translation

An angel is knocking at my door

Versiyonlar: #1#2#3#4
A sign, a tear
A word, an arm
Cleaning the stars
With the liquor of my soul

A gap, a pain
Wilting roses
Someone taking somebody else's place

An angel is knocking at my door
Should I let him in?
It's not always my fault
If things are broken up
The Devil is knocking at my door
He wants to speak to me
There's always that other
Risk-taking one in me

A thread, a fault
Love, a straw
I'm drowning in a water-glass*
I don't feel good about myself

I'm laughing, hiding
Truth behind a mask
The sun will never rise

An angel is knocking at my door
Should I let him in?
It's not always my fault
If things are all behind us
The Devil is knocking at my door
He wants to speak to me
There's always that other
Risk-taking one in me

I'm not that strong
And at night, I can't sleep
All those dreams are no good to me

A child is knocking at my door
He lets the light in
He has my eyes and my heart
And behind him, I can see Hell

An angel is knocking at my door
Should I let him in?
It's not always my fault
If things are ruined
It's not always my fault
If things are broken up
It's not always my fault
If things are ruined

* This idiom means, "to be lost for the slightest reason". But I translated it literaly so it makes sense with the previous line, "a straw", if you know what I mean - 'cause I'm not sure to know what Natasha St-Pier meant x_x
