Thank you, Hans. Yes, it was a catch and I misunderstood it. The reason was that both “hören” and “gehören” have the same form in Perfekt: “gehört”. I overlooked that it was “mir” and not “mich” and finally as my translation made sense and fitted the lyrics there was no red light on.
Another problem was how to translate “gebunden”. It’s tricky because, as I understand it, it can mean married, engaged or any other form of a steady relationship with a woman. Of all these words “engaged” seems to be the most universal.
And thank you also for all other comments. I will replay of course, but now I have very little time because of the business that I run. Also following what’s happening now in Europe takes me almost all of my free time. I just can believe what’s going on. These are not thousands, but millions people who migrate to improve the standard of their life. In Germany they get 1,268.64 Euros for nothing. That’s more than an average salary in Poland, so perhaps we should all also leave Poland and go to Germany?
Sure, Andrzej, you also may claim political asylum in Germany, as soon as you provide evidence that there is a bloody civil war going on in Poland or you personally are persecuted for political reasons by the Kopacz-Regime and threatened by torture in the dungeons of Warsaw... ;)
