This seems to be a bad joke?! I request to delete this site. This is not funny at all.

I do agree with you. I can't believe it that people are even translating this monster's rubbish.I do expect the site's owners to delete this post really

petit élèvepetit élève    الجمعة, 06/04/2018 - 21:53

You might want to read these lyrics and compare them with what Hitler wrote in 1920.
Gazmanov sings them in official pro-Putin rallies.
If at least a few people see the point, I will consider my translations useful.

GuestGuest    الجمعة, 06/04/2018 - 22:01

I'm afraid "petit élève" you haven't got the point. The matter isn't about what did this crap write, it's about his very existence on this site. There is none room for a coward who's got blood on his hands. Period.

petit élèvepetit élève    الجمعة, 06/04/2018 - 22:03

Finir ses phrases avec des "period" et des "point barre" ce n'est pas bon signe quand on prétend discuter.
Les règles du site sont assez claires et rien n'interdit que ces textes y figurent.

GuestGuest    الجمعة, 06/04/2018 - 22:12

Oui je suis très en colère. Je me sens embourbée dans un site qui tolère la présence d'un criminel

petit élèvepetit élève    الجمعة, 06/04/2018 - 22:38

EnrixosfromParisEnrixosfromParis    الجمعة, 06/04/2018 - 22:06

I guess anybody with a bit of empathy understands that,
this is just very human to be affraid of dying, but unfortunately, it happened long before to all human beings, still happens today, and will happen tomorrow, this is in human nature, not just Hitler, or the jews, it concerns everybody i mean all people that have been confronted to war since creation of humanity, i guess just a tour in Afghanistan would be enough to put things into perspective

GuestGuest    الجمعة, 06/04/2018 - 22:07

His picture and so called "poems" on this site is an insult to all his victims. Guys do not forget the 6 million Jews slaughtered, thanks to his heinous ideology. I'm not Jewish, but I feel really bad with this post. If it's not removed I'll have to bid bye bye.

petit élèvepetit élève    الجمعة, 06/04/2018 - 22:15

I never said it was foolish to be afraid of him. I just said ignoring him was a mistake. "fear is a poor advisor" as we say in France.

I took the time to translate two of these texts to make sure I understood what he wrote about at the time.
You can see for yourself, there is nothing but rahter corny chauvinism in there. That's where he started. Antisemitism only came a few years later.

Compare with what is happening right now in Europe, Russia and the US.
Same chauvinistic crap, and right in its wake, the same xenophobia (except the boogeymen are mostly the Arabs now).
Due to Putin's marketing strategy, that is especially visible in Russia, but the exact same process is taking place in the Western world.
Isn't that worth a bit of thinking?

tsariinatsariina    الأحد, 25/03/2018 - 22:03

Why is this even here!?!?!? Someone, get this off of here. A person like this man does not deserve a place on this website.

petit élèvepetit élève    الأحد, 25/03/2018 - 22:22

A specific poem might be censored if it contains hateful messages, but otherwise there is no rule about banning authors.
Besides, it has historical value. Realizing this man was not only a failed painter but also a very mediocre bourgeois poet is actually quite telling. First he tried to be an artist and failed, then he burned real artists' work...

There is no questionning what a monster Hitler was, but refusing to see him as a significant part of recent human history is only likely to pave the way for his wannabe successors, in my opinion.

CoopysnoopyCoopysnoopy    الأحد, 25/03/2018 - 22:12

I find it pretty hard to believe that a Russian user is responsible for this. I mean: 25 million Russians died in the Second World War! They must be turning in their graves.

CoopysnoopyCoopysnoopy    الأربعاء, 04/04/2018 - 07:58

Be calm: I know who Stalin was. And I cannot understand why in Russia they raise Stalin statues today. I am not amused about Russia, rest assured.

petit élèvepetit élève    الأثنين, 26/03/2018 - 00:05

Please, could we keep a cool head here? It's about mediocre poems written by a failed painter up until the mid-20's. That this nobody actually became Adolf Hitler as everybody knows him is actually quite interesting.

By studying the way he thought when he was nothing more than a punk ranting in bars after a few beers, we have a slightly better chance of understanding what happened next, and thus recognize the obvious faults in our ways of thinking that make us put monsters in power.

For instance, his patriotic rants are quite interesting to compare with the music that plays in Putin's rallies (have a look at Mr Gazmanov's page, for instance). Or American from civil war songs to "make America great again". Or French patriotic songs of WWII (well, up until 1940...).

And please, spare me, yourself and humanity at large the usual mud flinging. I'm not sniping at any country in particular. I'm talking about chauvinism and its inherent dangers.

GuestGuest    الجمعة, 06/04/2018 - 21:42

This crap can't be considered as an "poet" when he's got blood on his hands.

Guys, I do understand you, but there is one thing probably you don't understand. As it's clearly stated in the site rules1, as long as his poems don't have serious hate messages, violence proganda and racism, his poems may remain and may be added, just like the other authors. If we see a poem against the website rules, then the poem will be taken care of.

  • 1. Lyrics that contain serious hate messages, violence propaganda, racism and aggressive discrimination are prohibited

He silenced his critics
Not a word do you see
True poets and great men
Innocents lost and unknown
All wrenched from us
Mankind's precious pearls

And now all that is left
Are inadequate ramblings
Of a wretched mediocrity
And an eternally putrid stench
That overwhelms the senses
And offends righteous men

I seriously hope you're all joking. This is insane: why would you want to delete this page? What harm does it do to you personally? And for what reason, by the way, is it just because you don't like him? Oh well, then I can request the mods to delete any page I want because I don't like the songs or the singer(s). Problem is, IT DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT. I seriously hope your comments are a joke, because otherwise I'd be seriously worried, this is ridiculous, you're just making a scene for no reason. You are not children.

petit élèvepetit élève    الأثنين, 26/03/2018 - 20:49

I couldn't agree more on the substance. On the form though, I can understand people could be overwhelmed by their feelings.

DarkJoshuaDarkJoshua    الأثنين, 26/03/2018 - 21:01

Sorry, but that's exactly what I'm against. People should be in control of their feelings, otherwise we're all going to have problems. Imagine a world where people let their feelings speak through their actions: we would all shout at each other, angry for only God knows what. We must all take a deep breath and process stuff, we can't get mad at things that aren't even related to us. Saying "deeleet dis paydj, its ofending xdxd" is the stupidest thing I could ever read. These lyrics (judging from previous comments, can't understand German) aren't spreading hate, violence or any kind of propaganda, so people should just calm down (and I should as well, because seeing stupid things makes me so angry).

petit élèvepetit élève    الأثنين, 26/03/2018 - 22:59

I'm rather playing the devil's advocate here. The "Hitler monster, delete all this crap" tends to piss me off a bit too.
Yet if we can't discuss about it like civilized people then Hitler (or rather his ghost) has won.

I wish episodes like remilitarization of the Rhineland were studied in school.
Oh well, who cares when and where the next war will start anyway...

DarkJoshuaDarkJoshua    الثلاثاء, 03/04/2018 - 11:45

Sorry, not my fault if I was born stupid. Look at the bright side: natural selection will do its job eventually.

HinKytoHinKyto    الأثنين, 26/03/2018 - 20:57

I'm sure we all can agree that Hitler was a bad human and a horrible leader who did not have his people's best interest in mind, just his own agenda, but we can't just censor him for who he was. If his lyrics don't break the rules of LyricsTranslate, there is no reason to remove it. These texts have historical value even, which means that they're important. This doesn't mean that LT sympathizes with him or his cause, but we recognize that these texts for what they are. In my opinion, removing this page for no other reason than who the author is would be straight up censor rather than picking what content we want on this website.

SaintMarkSaintMark    الأثنين, 26/03/2018 - 21:04

fact no1. you don't know who the person commonly known as "Adolf Hitler" is. his parents, his lineage.
If you would, you would blush in shame. and never talk again.

fact no2. Hitler was an artist. not a failed artist. but a great artist. he could write poetry, draw cartoons,
paint pictures. be a news presenter, and make movies.

fact no3. People are scared of "the person" Adolf Hitler even tho his work is long since over, he has
led the second world war, has brought about the cataclysm. now the next and final world war, is in the making, and indeed has already begun. while you're scared of ghosts that no longer exist, making useless laws, scared he might rise from the grave. which is an illusion. as is much of what we perceive to be real.

petit élèvepetit élève    الثلاثاء, 27/03/2018 - 04:37

Could you be a bit more specific about what is supposed to make us blush in shame and drop dead? I've read Kershaw's book and also this rather thick day-to-day account of Nazi germany by Sivel, and I honestly can't say I found anything in Hitler's biography that would provoke such a reaction.
I rather remember him earning the "carpet eater" nickname (around the time Hindenburg died, if I remember correctly) due to his bouts of frenzied rage where he would roll on the floor screaming and indeed bite the carpets.

Hitler sure could paint and draw (possibly cartoons), but not well enough to convince the Academy, apparently.
He sure had a say in Riefenstahl's propaganda job, but that does not make him a director. Or did you have something else in mind?
I fail to see what art has to do with speaking news, except maybe in the "con artist" sense.
Now for his poetry, well, the result is plain for everyone to see.

I rather had the impression Hitler used art as a blunt propaganda tool with efficient manipulation rather than aesthetics as a goal. Seems consistent with the book burnings, "degenerate art" exhibitions and Hanns Johst's odious "Wenn Ich Kultur höre... entsichere ich meinen Browning" line.
Not really what you would expect from a refined esthete or a gifted artist.

CoopysnoopyCoopysnoopy    الأربعاء, 04/04/2018 - 08:01

"Hitler was an artist. not a failed artist. but a great artist."

Alma BarrocaAlma Barroca    الأثنين, 26/03/2018 - 21:08

We all know who Hitler was, but let's take in consideration that there are also a thousand of misogynist, homophobic, racist, etc. performers whose songs are also here. He was a mediocre poet anyway, and unless his poems carry hate messages, they won't be deleted. I don't feel bad with this specific page.

CoopysnoopyCoopysnoopy    الأربعاء, 04/04/2018 - 07:48

Alma Barroca, surely there "are a thousand of misogynist, homophobic, racist, etc. performers whose songs are also here."
But show me a MASS MURDERER like Hitler who is here.

petit élèvepetit élève    الأربعاء, 04/04/2018 - 15:02

At the time, Hitler was not even an antisemit, just a chauvinist bigot like thousands of others. There are many warmongering songs here on LT far worse than these poems.

These racial theories came later, he drew them from theoricians like Hans Günther or Alfred Rosenberg. Hitler used xenophibia as a tool to support his nationalistic views and eventually made it an integral part of his theories in 1924, when he wrote Mein Kampf.
As a consumate opportunist, he used whatever material was available to him, from pangermanist ideas to antisemitism that had been pervading European cultures for centuries.
Using gross counterfeits like the infamous "Protocol of the elders of Zion" or pseudo-sciences like phrenology gives an idea of the soundness of these theories. They are on par with rants about UFOs or new world order conspiracies.

The Nazi ideology is a mess full of contradictions, a bunch of simplistic nonsense sold to people who were only too happy to buy them.
The important question is, what made people so eager to embrace all this crackpot nonsense?

Alma BarrocaAlma Barroca    الجمعة, 06/04/2018 - 22:25

The problem here is the WRITER, not his poems. That is the only issue. There's no ground for us to remove this profile and all the works attached here. If we Mods came and removed this page, we would be breaking our own rules - which were created specifically after problems with songs that indeed were problematic as they glorified the Nazis and promoted hate.

This is a lyrics-dedicated website. We are more worried about the content of lyrics, not those who perform it.

artisticspiritartisticspirit    الثلاثاء, 27/03/2018 - 00:35
petit élèvepetit élève    الثلاثاء, 27/03/2018 - 01:44

Good, first conspiracy theorist to be drawn to the flame.

Listen to my words of wisdom, my friend.

New world order conspiracies and illuminati secret meetings are just stories we make up for lack of serious answers.
There is nothing more unsettling than having no answer to existential questions, so letting ourself believe in the rants of a few crackpots is way more satisfying than being left wondering what the hell is going on.
It requires a lot less effort too. Some people even dare call that intellectual laziness.

If the idea is really to understand how the world works instead of simply putting your mind at rest, then there is no need for all that crap.
Greed, ignorance, prejudice, incompetence and plain stupidity are quite enough to explain the sorry state of the world. It will only cost you a few thousand hours of learning actual facts and poring over human history. Acknowledging the fact that each of us is part of the problem is just a bit more damaging for our idealized selves than putting the blame on a dozen evil guys in funny attires.

The only drawback of these explanations is the stiffled laughthers of your co-workers around the water fountain. To avoid these inconveniences, I suggest you switch to more socially acceptable scapegoats.
Forget about chemtrails, free energy, HARP project and water fluoridation (however that might be spelled). Just blame it on the Arabs, that's a sure winner.
In case you happen to be an Arab yourself (though I could hardly picture these animals learning how to read, one must try to remain open minded), I suppose you could blame it on any part of the world of your choosing.

CoopysnoopyCoopysnoopy    الأربعاء, 04/04/2018 - 07:52

Higgs BosonHiggs Boson    الثلاثاء, 03/04/2018 - 09:36

Well, I just stumbled upon this thread and I have to say I am quite amused by some of the reactions here; these poems are actually historical documents that give us insight into the man, as is every form of art in the service of military propaganda. A historical relic, nothing more.

If we stifle and silence every opinion that goes against our own (while making the assumption that we are all educated, open-minded citizens in favour of democracy), then how are we going to be able to challenge and debunk it? Let's not be swayed by our emotions or absurdity; it is needed more than ever, considering how the far right is rising in Europe and the consequences that situation entails.

Edit: Oh and, by the way, I removed the "Original Spelling" from the page, since it was not needed.

Jesus Christ , people can you be mature !? These are just what they are some simple poetry , stop living in the past and build up the future , let aside the hate it won't change a thing ...The "rule" "Lyrics that contain serious hate messages, violence propaganda, racism and aggressive discrimination are prohibited." is so bended" on this site as well as on the other lyrics sites that you can't even take it seriously ... You didn't see all the main stream "masterpiece pop" music" garbage served on fire here on this site , yet you seen this , which is in fact nothing more than some poetry , in it's unconventional way but it is .... So why all the stress about this ? Is simple if there are vulgar words in it censore the source lyrics , the site is full of "Nice pop songs with milk and honey love words"", so why all the tevature here ? Jezzus Christ ...

Good Job done by the person who added these poems and let us discover a part that maybe some of us didn't knew

I think his lyrics doesn't break the rules of LyricsTranslate, his poems don't have hate messages, violence or racism, it may remain and may be added, just like others. If we see a poem against the website rules, then someone of the moderators will take care of the poem, if any moderator didn't do anything there is no reason to remove it. If those letters bother you, don't read them, there's some music that I've translater that is not my style, but to help the person I translate it and then I forget the lyrics. It's just lyrics, you don't have to give importance, because it doesn't have. It's only poetry, nothing more! Hitler painted and wrote poetry, we cannot ignore the fact that it's something historical too.

Isn't time to let Hitler rest in peace?

petit élèvepetit élève    الثلاثاء, 03/04/2018 - 13:35

Exactly the contrary, in my opinion. As the last witnesses of that era die of old age, we have nothing but history left to realize how one of the supposedly most advanced country in the world could put someone like him in power. Dismissing all this as a simple aberration of history is the surest way to see history repeat itself.

The temptation to deny reality is obviously very high, what with the far right reaping better scores with each new election and nothing significant done by the power that be to stop them, but I wouldn't call that the wisest course of action. It's high time to realize fascists are on their way back, and for a host of very understandable - if not acceptable - reasons.

La peur des fascistes, tout simplement.
