No, this is Italian. Quite an archaic form, but still understandable to a native speaker.
We've got Medieval Italian as a category, but this is much later than that, from the 18th or 19th century, I reckon. The "Italian" category is fine here.

We should probably add another language to our list, "Old Rhetorical Italian", which is different from Medieval Italian. It's a language that nobody ever spoke, but many foreigners can understand it better than the Standard Italian because it was mostly used in the opera and in old sentimental poems.
