Luis Fonsi - VIDA
"Sola" is the opener and the final single from Luis Fonsi's ninth album, "VIDA". It was released on January 23, 2019 (a week before the album released) and was described as a "mid-tempo, sultry R&B tinged jam over sparse arrangements" by Billboard. The music video was also released that same day and has garnered more than 19,170,283 views.
"Dime Que No Te Irás" is the sixth track off of Luis Fonsi's ninth album, "VIDA." The track is a touching R&B-infused, piano-led ballad. According to Fonsi, this is the most difficult to perform vocally.
It "is one of the songs with more weight in this album", he said. "It's one of those songs that may not have the commercial value of others, but it does have the musical and emotional value."
“Échame La Culpa” is a follow up to the highly successful hit “Despacito” which featured Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber.
“Échame La Culpa” (“Put The Blame on Me”) features Demi Lovato who puts her Spanish skills to the ultimate test in the track. The track describes the fact that both singers put the blame for the mistakes in love on themselves instead of the other person. Eventually, the song ends in a compromise to stay together.
"Despacito” is a reggaeton song about the act of having sexual intercourse, moving slowly on the rhythm and dual attraction between the male and the female for who this song is written.
The track was moderately successful before the Justin Bieber remix, reaching #44 on the Hot 100 and topping the Hot Latin Songs chart. However, the week after Bieber’s remix dropped, the song exploded to #9 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the first top ten of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee and the twelfth of Bieber. The song climbed on to the #1 spot on May 27th and has stayed there for a consecutive period of 16 weeks, making it the only song along with Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s single, “One Sweet Day.”
"Ahí Estás Tú" is the twelve track off of Luis Fonsi's ninth album, "VIDA." This is one of the most personal pieces which he wrote to his son, Rocco, who was born in 2017. This is the second song that he has written to his children. His previous album, "8," included a tune for his daughter, Mikaela.
