Minä olen sinä

Sielu,
kuuntele minua,
kun minä vaikenen,
kuuntele minua.
Kun minä nauran
Kun minä nauran
Kun minä nauran,
itke myös.

Ota minut syliisi,
Päästä irti minusta
Ota minut syliisi,
Päästä irti minusta
Pidä minua tiukasti
Päästä irti minusta
Päästä irti minusta

Älä kysy, kuka minä olen
Älä kysy, kuka minä olen
Älä kysy, kuka minä olen
Pelkään totuutta
Pelkään valheita
Totuutta, valheita
Minä olen sinä

Pelko! Pelkään sinua.
Pelko! Pelkään minua.
Minä olen sinä (Pelkään sinua)
Minä olen sinä (Pelkään minua)

Sielu,
sulje silmäsi,
katso kasvojani,
minä olen sinä.

Kuuntele minua,
kun minä vaikenen,
Kuuntele minua,
Minä olen sinä,

Sielu,
Kun minä nauran,
Minä olen sinä
Minä olen sinä

Kuuntele minua!

Pelko! Pelkään sinua.
Pelko! Pelkään minua.
Minä olen sinä.
Minä olen totuus
Minä olen valheet.
Minä olen sinä.

Sielu
Tiedän kuka minä olen
Tiedän kuka minä olen
Tiedän kuka minä olen
Tiedän!
Tiedän!

It's me again, with some comments :).

- "itke myös." - this seems a bit unclear. Does it mean that the other person should "cry too" or something else? If so, it's okey.

- "Ota minut sylissäsi," --> "Ota minut syliisi"

- "Päästä minua irti," - if the original line means "let me go", then this should be "Päästä minut menemään" or "Päästä irti minusta" etc.

- "Älä pyydä, kuka minä olen" --> "Älä kysy, kuka minä olen" ("älä pyydä" would mean "don't ask (for something)")

Otherwise it seems fine.

Yes, basically the whole song is contradictions, so it's "when I laugh, [you] cry too".

Thank you!

You're welcome! The line could also be "sinä itket myös", but I think "itke myös" can work.

I did originally have "sinä itket" and submitted it, but I went away and was singing the song to myself, and thought I really should render the line in the imperative like the German.
