Isolda
Through the shores of distant seas,
Through the endless rain on the scarlet silk sails,
Through ruthless foes on the fiery battle for love -
For her love, my Silver¹ one.
Beyond the sea, you will find her,
Beyond the cold wave, the sky gets dark from the arrows,
By the cold eyes... would you give away all that you have,
For her love, my Silver one?
From the tsunami, only the flute sings
With the golden voices by the endless gloom, against the silence,
With your golden hair, you will never hide even on the bottom [of the sea]
From her love, my Silver one.
From her love, my Silver one...

13/11/2017: Corrections and help by Nadia (sandring). A big thanks, Nadia! Your help truly clarified the song to me!
¹ Also according to Nadia, Silver one may be an allusion to the main character from the historic romance Prince Serebryany, by Alexei Tolstoy. His name was Nikita and his loved one, Yelena Morozova, was already married to an old man, Medvedeka, who was the lord of a village. He happens to be helped by Nikita and so he meets Yelena again. She had married him in order to foil an evil oprichnik along with his companions. Oprichniki were the members of the vile and repressive state police created by Ivan Grozny (or Ivan, The Terrible) when he was afraid of betrayal from the aristocrats.
