يـاعاقد الـحاجبين على الجبين اللجين

إن كنت تقصد قتلي قـتلتني مـرتين

تَـمر قـفز غزالٍ بين الرصيف وبيني

وما نصبت شباكي ولا أذنت لـع

تـبدو كأن لاتراني ومـلء عينك عيني

ومـثل فعلك فعلي ويلي من الأحمقين

مولاي لم تبق مني حـياً سوى رمقين

أخاف تدعو القوافي عليك في المشرقين

oh frown eyebrows

Oh frown eyebrows on the silver forehead

If you meant to kill me, you killed me twice

You pass as a jumping deer between the sidewalk and me

And I did not set up my net and I did not allow my eye to glance,

You look as if you don't see me while you put your eyes into my eyes

And as you did, I do and woe of both fools

My lord, you haven't left from me alive but two breaths.
