Isnt ¨descendras¨ in simple futur tense ?
greetings
Hi,
Thank you for the comment. You're right, 'descendras' is simple futur. I just figured it would be easier on the ears in English if I translate it that way as opposed to 'you will descend.'
I hope that's okay?
Thanks.
for me, that is a question
when will you descend from the sky?
:)
That's a very good point! I've never looked at it that way before.
Would you be okay if I add your interpretation in the comments?
Again, thanks for offering your viewpoint!
sure, sorry If I bothered you, Im bearly learning French
have a great day
Don't worry, you didn't bother me at all. I really appreciate it, that was helpful. I'm only learning French as well.
Have a good day yourself! :)
*Noël: French word for Christmas.
I didn't replace the word Noël with Christmas: I wanted to give the translation a 'feel' of the original lyrics.
