Que fazes aí, Lisboa? (إلى الإنكليزية ترجم)

إلى الإنكليزية ترجم

What do you do over there, Lisbon?

What do you do over there, Lisbon,
With your gaze planted on the river?
Your eyes are not like hawsers,
They cannot keep a ship from leaving.
What do you do over there, Lisbon
With your gaze planted on the river?
The ship that left yesterday,
Has gone to never come back.
Cry your tears of stone
In every corner of the quay.
The ship that left yesterday
Has gone to never come back
Lisbon, old Lisbon,
Poor mother, leaned by the river,
May the warmth* of my shoulders
Be a shelter from your cold.
Lisbon, old Lisbon,

Seja o cheiro dos meus ombros agasalho do teu frio!
May the smell of shoulders be a shelter from your coldness

The change smell warmth is somehow logical. If one feels the smell of a shoulder, it is because he is very close to it, properly, leaned on it.

WIth reference to the author's comment above, the lyrics are "Seja o chaile dos meus ombros" Be the shawl of my shoulders. Hope this helps.
