Thank you very much for the comment!
I'm glad that you found my translation useful and that you enjoyed it!
And you're completely right about the lyrics, I don't know how I could miss such a big fuck up but I did and I'm glad someone noticed.
Anyways thank you again for commenting and I appreciate your help!
Hey, could you add me as a friend here? I can't seem to be able to send you PMs otherwise.
Also, big thanks for all your work.
Raubtier sound IMO kinda okay-ish if you don't know what they're saying.
Their music becomes sublime when you understand because someone translated them to English. :)
Two things, keeping in mind that I do not consider my abilities in Swedish to go much beyond turning written words into sounds:
I think that "klingan" is being used as a general term for a sword, and so should be translated into English as "blade". Cutlass refers to a very specific sword, and not one that is in any way consistent with the viking berserker theme of the song.
Second, both English Wikipedia and the italian translation of the song's title are "Berserker Rage" (or "Fury of the Berserker" for a literal translation of the Italian). I am nowhere near qualified to say what the title is best translated as, but I am pretty sure that "Berserkergang" is not it.
Thanks for your comment!
I was not aware that cutlass wasn't a general term form sword, so thank you for your correction!
I will however not change the title. "Berserkergang" is the official anglicized version of the Old Norse "Berserkrgangr" and the Swedish "Bärsärkagång" which means the state of being berserk or just going berserk. But I will add a clarification for people who aren't familiar with the word. :)
