Hi, it's again me.
This time my problem is that I disabled the Chat Icon on my profile settings but it though appears and prevents the page from loading properly. I can hardly work on LT because I always have to reload the site. Could anyone please help?

Same here: the annoying chat icon has got out of control no matter how much I'd like to get rid of it. Please help.
For the time being, you can disable notifications. Just click the gear icon and go to 'Disable notifications'. I don't worry about the chat, but I don't want to have thousands of notifications whenever people leave a message there.
Several times I intended to teach my GreaseMonkey how to wolf down this pesky plugin but it always disappeared just before I was about to make the final decision. And now look, here it is again flickering in the lower right corner teasing the untrained monkey that's sitting in the upper right one with a goofy smile on...
It's really impractical while on a smartphone - opened the chat 4 times unintentionally while writing a comment, because if I tap below the comment field in order to close the keyboard and e.g. look at the comment I'm replying to again, that area is on the same height as the chat icon, and even tapping 2 cm left of it, i.e. in the middle of the screen, still opens it.
I tried disabling it and it still appears on my phone and computer.

And how much time did you spend typing your comment only to have it wiped out? Then you have to type it again, right? Stressful. I hate "typing" with my phone.
I have also disabled it – without any effort.
Every time that I want to add a new song or translation, the site breaks down as soon as I I'm trying to select a language. I hope the admins are able to solve the problem soon.

I'll count myself lucky then, nothing was wiped out.
Also, I think we have an automatic backup here.

I just tried to reply to thisand lost my reply! If there is an autobackup, I don't know how to access. I'm very impatient typing on phone and when I lose a well-thought out (for my piddly brain) message or translation, it's twice as painful to type again. Now I try to remember, keep finger far away from chat icon until this gets fixed.
There are some ways to avoid this misfortune.
1) When typing a comment make several empty lines at the end of all text, so your finger will be far away from the chat icon
2) If the chat window suddenly pops up, don't push "back" button! If you do this, you will go back to the previous window of your web browser and you'll lose your typed text. Make sure to click "close" button on the top right corner of the chat window - the chat would close then and you'll be back to your text.
3) Use some copy-to-memory app, Clip Stack for example, and from time to time copy your text to keep it in the app.

My computer and phone are still showing the icon. Could Admin pls check my account to see if my settings are correct? I don't want to chat. I thought I disabled it correctly. Am I missing something?
