SO like I said before, I need some help with French. I have to write an essay about our favourite building in France for my study, and I was hoping that one of the French speakers could help me out and correct the things where I'm wrong. Please tell me what I did wrong so I am able to learn from it.

And the English translation, to know what I meant to say:

La Vieille Bourse
Near the large fountain at the la Place du général de Gaulle is the in my opinion most beautiful building we have seen. If you come from the du Nouveau Siècle, Go forward, Keep walking until you’re at the la rue Nationale. Turn right and you should be there in a few minutes
I know that the building was used as the house of the trade and industry of Lille a long time ago. It’s one of the most touristic places in Lille. I know that it’s also a meeting place for chess players, dancers and book collectors
La Vieille Bourse is a building with several stores, in the courtyard is a antique shop. It’s possible to buy old postcards in the antique store but you can also buy magazines, books and posters. We bought a postcard there ourselves. If you are an collector, than is this the place to be!

The building has also a souvenir shop, several cafés, a juwelier and a chocolate shop. It’s a beautiful boulding, so even if you didn’t plan to buy anything, you would probably still enjoy looking at the building.

La Vieille Bourse is open from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM

Thanks in advance!

Is this an essay that you will hand in and then receive a mark from a teacher?

Already much better !

Something seems to be lacking between "Lille" and "du passé". Perhaps "est un témoignage", or something like that ?

The rest of it seems basically OK, congratulations.

I won't get a mark, we're working on a big poster to show the new students where we are going to during our study and so everyone can learn from the most beautiful places in France. (; I shouldn't be asking for help on here if it was for a mark cause that would've been cheating

The English version could use some improvements.

Near the large fountain at the "la Place du général de Gaulle" is, in my opinion, the most beautiful building we have seen. If you are coming from the "du Nouveau Siècle", go forward, keep walking until you’re at the "la rue Nationale"; turn right and you should be there in a few minutes.
The building has been used as the House of Trade and Industry of Lille for a long time ago. It’s one of the most touristy place in Lille and a meeting place for chess players, dancers and book collectors.
"La Vieille Bourse" is a building with several stores. In the courtyard is a antique shop where you can buy old postcards, magazines, books and posters. We bought a postcard there ourselves. If you are a collector this the place to visit!
The building has also a souvenir shop, several cafés, a jeweller and a chocolates shop. It’s a beautiful bulding, so even if you don't plan to buy anything you would probably still enjoy looking at the building.
La Vieille Bourse is open from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM

Hi everyone! I was intrigued by your topic. I state that my French is quite poor, but I notice something odd.
Maybe I’m wrong, but – with great humility- I suggest you to revise and turn some sentence in a more suitable way(I’m not able to…)

compare with:

I know that the building was used as the house of the trade and industry of Lille a long time ago.

Good luck!  :)

Point 1, true, something ought to be changed here.
Point 2, I guess it's just a typo ("?" instead of ",", they share the same key).
Point 3, Anna, why do you try to mislead the poor guy ! "Vous n'allez rien acheter" is perfectly right, it means "you're not going to buy anything". You'll have to copy it 100 times ! :)

Bowien, I don't know if you still need help, or somebody might have already made these corrections.
English:
"..is in my opinion the most beautiful building we have ever seen. "....if you are a collector, then this is the place to be!"
"The building also has a souvenir...., a jeweler/jewelry..."
