I do not see a field for editing on my (relatively) new laptop: should the access be restored by the moderator? On the steadfast computer, the possibility still exists. I mean for the polish language.

Thank you for explaining - it's working!
Among the English texts there are more and more German words (mainly language names: Albanisch, Arabisch, Aserbaidschanisch etc.). Why are these names placed in the English source text? I know German, but I have not translated these words yet. What are they being introduced for? Should I to translate them to Polish?
And what about the texts in different languages? Should I translate only English here? For example one of the page texts:
["Я люблю тебя", "I love you" , "Je t'aime", "Te amo ", "Ich liebe dich", "Σ' ...]

Rather what's in English not in Polish. The source text of the interface is - or maybe it should be - in English. ;)

first: month should be ay
second: 3 ay 2 hafta format is not suitable for tarih(date), 3 ay 2 hafta önce(before) could be a better way to say that

I'd love to help Lyricstranslate translate the site into turkish, so let me know if any help is needed

BTW, in case this would be the right place to mention it :
- when I look at the (French) list of my own translations, I can see that only the word "Slovène" (Slovenian) is written with a capital first letter, while all other languages are written in lowercase. It's a very tiny detail (but perhaps there are other language names in the same case).

(And there was something else, more annoying, but I forgot what, I'll tell you when I find it again). Thank you!

The spelling - big or small - should depend on the grammar of the respective language. In practice, it depends on the translator who has translated the English source code to the French language here. In the Polish language I have prepared, all languages are written in small letters. This can be a small oversight and should be easily corrected, preferably by contacting the translator of the language version, I think.

Hi there! When accessing a page that contains explicit content, then this pop-up appears:

Цитат:

Explicit content warning

This page can contain explicit content (offensive language, violence or propaganda message, etc)

[No problem] [Leave page]

But there are no corresponding strings in the Interface Tool yet. Can this text be translated into another language or is it supposed to stay in English on all language versions of LT? Thanks in advance!

EDIT:
Here's the German translation:

Цитат:

Inhaltswarnung

Diese Seite enthält möglicherweise anstößige Inhalte (Schimpfwörter, Gewaltbotschaften oder Propaganda, etc.)

Hi! It is recommended that each text be translated according to the interfaces available on LT (So far we have 41 translated interfaces available, some of them still incomplete).

For the Spanish interface I would recommend this translation for the pop-up message:

Цитат:

Advertencia de contenido explícito

Esta página puede contener contenido explícito (lenguaje ofensivo, mensajes de violencia o propaganda, etc.)

[No hay problema] [Abandonar página]

About the Russian translation: I noticed a mistake with it. The music genre "Country" has been translated as "Страна". But the Russian word "Страна" only means "country" in the meaning of "state" or "nation" or something like that, the music genre is called called with the word "Кантри" (Wikipedia also calls it that). See, for example, this page in Russian to see what the problem looks like.

Also, I'd like to help with translating the interface into Russian, is that possible?

This is because the translator, while working on the interface translation, sees only parts of the text and does not know where they will then be displayed. In addition, many of the same words are repeated, and they can be used differently and mean something different in another language. But you are right to pay attention to mistakes. If you can translate the interface, you'll see it for yourself. After adding a text translation, you need to browse the portal pages to see where the translation went and whether it is relevant. Ideally, the translated text should have a link to the place in the portal where it will be used.

Apparently the problem is that the same translation text is used for both meanings of the word "Country". Because when I tried to change the translation of the music genre to "Кантри", it also changed the word "Country" in the meaning of where the artist is from. (That made even less sense, so I changed it back.) So, I think that these meanings need separate translation texts, because it is just a coincidence that they have the same word in English.
Is it enough to write a comment here? Or should I write a message to LT to discuss this?

Good morning, LT!

I'm writing just to report that there are some broken strings in the BR-PT interface. For instance, the 'Country' string which is to be shown on artist pages also refers to the musical genre. So when translating it, 'País' is shown also as genre, as you can see here > http://lyricstranslate.com/pt-br/genre/country

- I sent them this in 2017, this was their answer

Цитат:

Unfortunately, there's no way to fix this mess with different translations of strings that have the same spelling in English. We already had complaints from Hampsicora about same issues with Italian, but could not find a reasonable solution.

Of course, this can have changed with time, but it's better to ask [@lt] again. I haven't checked the interface translation tool for a while...

Just a suggestion: What if the string for the place of origin would be changed from "country" to e.g. "nation"? If this is possible, then there would be two differently spelled strings. And I've not seen a string called "nation" yet.

Hi! I don't know if someone is working on it already, but there are some bits in the Spanish interface that need to be translated.

- The "Edit song" button.
- The instructions on how to "Create a New Annotation". (Also the "6.3 Adding annotations" part in the FAQ)
- The "Mark as explicit" button.

- In Editor's links: Editors room, My edits log and Annotations need to be translated. As well as the "new annotation" message in the Site activity.

- In the "Edits log": Node title, Node author, Action date, Song, Translation, and Artist, need to be translated.

- In the forums: "Topic / Topic starter" needs to be translated. Also the "Last page" button.
The "Create a New Topic" button is in spanglish "New Tema del foro". It could be "Agregar tema nuevo" ??

- When adding a new artist: "Select image" needs to be translated.

There's a spanglish text that says: "Comentarios del uploader" (submitter's comments), I think it would be better to translate that word. Maybe "Comentarios del publicante" ??? Just a suggestion, but I don't know if that implies that the submitter is the publisher of the song?

That's all I could find right now.

There are parts in the Russian interface that are lacking translations, here are some that I've found:
After hitting the "нравится" button, "unlike" appears.
In the contributions part of the profile, depending on the number of translations done and etc., the interface will keep switching from Russian to English and back and forth.
In the artists page in my own profile, the button to "add photo" is in English.
Some roles aren't translated into Russian
When someone adds an annotation to a song I've posted, the notification comes in English
Some parts of the stop-list page are in English
In an artist's profile page, when editing it and in songs, the related part isn't translated

When logging in to the website, the phrase ‘Forgot Password?’ can’t be translated using the interface translation tool. At least for the French interface, but I think it’s the same for any language.

Also, when you’re not logged in, ‘Request fulfilled’ isn’t translated and I can’t find it in the tool either.

There are some strings that I can't save the translation for. When I try, a message appears: "Not saved due to: This is a user-defined string. You are not allowed to translate these strings." and the translation isn't saved. This happens, for instance, with the string "Display no warnings for explicit content" in the settings.

There is a string that behaves even more strangely — "Related item can be any of the following - Artist, Song, or Translation. You can search by name, or paste URL of the page you want to add as related." appeared four times in the translation tools. I tried translating the one labelled "field_song_related:song:description", but it refuses to save, giving the message about user-defined string. When I translated the one without any label, it saved the translation. But when I go to a song, click on "Edit", and look at the "Related" section, it still shows the English string.

Actually, as I'm typing this comment, the label above this also shows "Comment" in English. There are very many strings "Comment" in the translation interface. I tried one, and it also gives me the message about user-defined string.

Also, on a song page, "thanked 2 times" shows in English. But when I search in the translation interface for "thanked", I do not see any string to translate.
