It's (almost) the same. Perfect, nothing to change (not to add, not to remove) - perfection.
You have "absolutny władca" (-absolute ruler) , "absolutny cham" (- totally rude). In short: perfection of some kind, top of the line in some subject (good or bad)

Listen, either you understand it or not. My explanations so far were perhaps not too good. In parallel, I was thinking how to convey to you the idea.
Absolute could perhaps be defined by its negative - relative. In "relative" you have a scale, gradation [(good, better, (much) better, the best)] or [(warm,hot,hotter, hottest)].
With absolute you are out of scale, out of comparison, you can be the best, strongest eldest without comparison or the worst, weakest, ugliest without a comparison, you are absolute of something, cannot be put on a relative scale. You can say "an absolute/total/perfect(doskonały) genius/beauty" or an "absolute/total/perfect(doskonały) stranger/fool/ugliness". The point is that you can take nothing from the absolute subject or add something to it to change its absoluteness, its uniqueness - it just is not on any relative scale to compare something to it. From here on I think I can't help you, maybe some fluent Russian speaker could make you see it. BTW: I think that the vodka "Absolut" got its name to make you believe it's "doskonała"., perhaps this will be your 80 percent proof :-)
