This is one of the greatest brazilian songs of all time, one that most people know the lyrics by heart and keeps redefining generations. It was written and composed by Belchior, but the performance by Elis Regina is what made the song famous, and it's the most well-known version.

notes:
-I translated "sertão" as "country" although they are slightly different (do an image search for sertão and you'll see) but they are close enough so that the idea stays the same, I think
-Remembrance is a very weird and unusual word, but if I just repeated the word memory it would be even weirder (i think) and would mess with the flow of reading the translation (which I think should be read while listening to the song)
