Tell me what this is

Keep me company awhile
Come on, kiss me now
I don't know what this is
I'm depressed
A terrible feeling of boredom
takes me over whenever you're not here.
Is this normal?
Or is it only happening to me?

Tell me, tell me, tell me what it is
What is this?
Tell me, tell me, tell me what this is
between us

Maybe you have too many commitments,
always something different
I don't want to sip at love, you know?
What do you think this is?
Hold me now
I'll hold your head in my arms for a while *
And this terrible boredom
is something which will pass when you wish
But there's something we have to do:
We have to think a bit more about us

Tell me, tell me, tell me what it is
What is this?
Tell me, tell me, tell me what this is
between us

Like you, I believed I could
divide up the world
But I turn and then
you're not there behind me
Oh, you know that I want you with me
Ah, now you're here
Put that smile of yours on my face
Don't go away
Come on, kiss me now
Tell me I matter to you
Tell me now
And this terrible boredom
Will fall like an aged beast
And your hand will take away this boredom
that is rising

Tell me, tell me, tell me what it is
What is this?
Tell me, tell me, tell me what this is
between us
Tell me, tell me, tell me, what do I have
if I don't have you?
Tell me, tell me, tell me, what is this?
Tell me, tell me, tell me, what is this?

I quote:

"Could someone clarify here, please:

io ti poggio la faccia tra le braccia per un pò

I'll support your head in my arms for a while
or
I'll rest my head in your arms for a while

Please could someone help me straighten out my pronouns - I can't work whose head/face is in whose arms!"

You are nor alone! To me this seems to be a problem in Italian language: both ist possible!
