What's happening with the Breton language?
Lately the precision "(Brezhoneg)" disappeared - rightly enough since other language names are not translated: you don't have "German (Deutsch)", for instance.
It reappeared one hour ago, or about. Why?

Lately we had just "Breton". The specification "Brezhoneg" is absolutely superfluous.
Ah, perhaps the admins had initially changed it and then changed it back. Would it be correct to just keep it as 'Breton'? Tagging [@lt].
Yes: "Breton" alone would be more correct. After looking up in the list of languages used on LT, I remark that specifications in brackets are only used to specify a variety of such or such language.
Here, "Brezhoneg" is not a dialect. It is just the translation of "Breton" in Breton.
I just discover that the bracketed specification depends on the interface language.
I did not check them all, but we have not it in French, Catalan, Croatian, Danish, German, Swedish

That's because language names are translated along with the rest of the user interface, mostly by volunteer LT users. Conventions may vary.
The Portuguese interface text is correct, then ;)
In my opinion, something should be done to unify the whole and get rid of this preposterous "Brezhoneg".
LOL mon "Qui traduit ?" est toujours là 9 ou 10 ans plus tard ! J'étais content de moi sur ce coup-là.
Je me souviens d'avoir passé un moment sur cette liste de noms de langues. Elle était déjà partiellement traduite mais je m'en suis tapé un paquet tout de même.
Encore une anomalie: "Breton" est écrit avec une majuscule en français, à la différence des autres langues et en infraction avec les règles orthographiques.

J'ai participé à la traduction de l'interface française il y a longtemps, c'est pour ça que je sais comment les langues sont nommées.
"Qui traduit ?" c'est ce que j'avais trouvé pour raccourcir le "About translator" dans le cartouche à droite. "À propos du traducteur" est trop long, sans parler des problèmes de genre (je me refuse à utiliser les "du/ela traduct.eur.ice" et autres, c'est mon côté vieux [beep] réac). Je me disais que quelqu'un finirait par trouver mieux, mais finalement personne n'a pris la peine de le changer depuis.
C'est difficile d'exiger de chaque bénévole de respecter une règle précise. Parfois les noms originaux restent, parfois non. Ce serait un très gros travail de tout standardiser.
Donc, on parle de l'interface en anglais ou en français ?
Si c'est de l'interface française, je peux modifier immédiatement.

Edit : donc, j'ai retiré la majuscule de Breton dans l'interface française. Et j'ai bien vérifié, en anglais, il n'y a plus que Breton d'écrit.
