The Son of the Moon

He's stupid that doesn't understand
The legend tells
That a gypsy women
Conjured the moon until the dawn
And crying, she asked
Upon the coming of day
To marry a man
"You will have a man of brown skin"
Said the moon in the sky
"But in return, I want
The first son
That you have with him
The one who would sacrifice their son
To not be alone
Would love him very little

Chorus

Moon, you want to be a mother
And you can't find the love
That makes a woman
Tell me, silver moon,
What would you do
With a child of the flesh?
Child of the moon

Of a father with cinnamon skin a boy is born
White as an ermine's back
With grey eyes
Instead of olive
Albino child of the moon
"Curse your imprint!
This is a child of an albino
And I will not hold my silence!"

Chorus

Upon believing himself dishonored
He went to his wife, knife in hand
"Whose child is this?
You have cheated me!"
And he stabbed her to death
Then went to the mountain
With his child in his arms
And abandoned him there.

Chorus

And when there is a full moon in the night
It is because the child is happy
And if the child cries,
The moon will wane
To become his crib
And if the child cries,
The moon will wane
To become his crib

I feel this is more natural than the other translations.
Unsure what "engañado fijo" means.

Pienso que esto es más natural que las otras traducciones.
No estoy seguro como se traduzca la frase "engañado fijo".

Hi! "Me has engañado fijo" means something like "You have cheated me for sure". "Fijo" literally means immovable, but colloquially, it means "for sure", "certainly", "undoubtedly", or simply when you are sure something happened or will/would happen.

Thanks!
One question: do you have a better translation of "Maldita tu estampa?"
"Imprint" seems wrong.
