The Free Spirit

সংস্করণ: #1#2#3
Can't keep your free spirit
in a four walled cage.

the onset of death
won't break my Free Spirit

lovers loving wont diminish
The Free Spirit hidden under skin

There is no cloning

In tetrangled walls (prison walls), can not be capped!;
The free soul in you.
Whence lain (dead), shan't be parched apart;
The free soul within me.
Lessens not, by making love, oft;
The free soul beneath the skin.
Won't make it more copious, copying it;
The free soul in the kin....

Bu şiir bana; Lovelace'nin

Stone walls do not a prison make,
Nor iron bars a cage;
Minds innocent and quiet take
That for an hermitage;
If I have freedom in my love
And in my soul am free,
Angels alone, that soar above,
Enjoy such liberty.

thank you for sharing...seeing all the different ways the same idea was written reminds me of a rumi poem.
Every war and every conflict between human beings
has happened because of some disagreement about names.

It is such an unnecessary foolishness,
because just beyond the arguing
there is a long table of companionship
set and waiting for us to sit down.

What is praised is one, so the praise is one too,
many jugs being poured into a huge basin.
All religions, all this singing, one song.
The differences are just illusion and vanity.
Sunlight looks a little different on this wall
than it does on that wall
and a lot different on this other one,
but it is still one light.

We have borrowed these clothes,
these time-and-space personalities,
from a light, and when we praise,
we are pouring them back in.
