Is there a way to search lyrics rather than song titles?

For example, let's suppose I wanted to find all songs with the Spanish word "nena" un the title to see how others are translating it. Or suppose I want to create a collection about whales and want to search lyrics in addition to titles.

How do we do this?

Thank You!

I struggled today to find songs I knew where there but named differently from what I could recall. I tried unsuccessfully the advanced search. So, yes, please give us some pointers.

That's a good point, another reason why this feature would be helpful.

Sometimes there is a song phrase in my head and I want to listen to it, but I don't know the name. So I leave LT, go to Google, type "lyrics [lyrics]", find the song title, then return to LT to type in the song title. It would be nice to streamline this.

You can also simply write it in the search field on the top (putting it into quotes helps) and click enter or on the search button. That will provide google results limited to this website.
For single words it will give you too many results normally, but if you know a phrase it's quite helpful from my experience.

What could be improved is limiting that search to only the text written in lyrics fields, but I do not know how easily that could be implemented. With that "nena" example you currently of course get mostly results concerning the artist of that name.

There is one lyrics site that has his capability, although I assume it's restricted to one or two languages where content is concerned.

Sounds like a challenge to get creative. I can do that!

Sciera's advice is very helpful and will be put to good use.

Just for the record, note here how it is done on a competing website, an example in which I asked for all songs with the word "turtle". They have English- and Spanish-language songs. I don't know if they have any other song languages, and I doubt they have the translation capability.

LT seems to do something similar. It seems to group songs or artists first, then seems to group lyrics after. This is based on one experiment in which I typed "Tougna Fo" into the main search as a song title to see if someone else already added the song. A different song came up, and under the other song's name were some lyrics, and "tougna fo" came up in bold letters. See here.
