I am a bit confused, I used to get 10 points per translated song. Now it seems like I am getting 3.
I saw people talking about Transliteration vs. Translation. Excuse my ignorance, but would you mind explaining the difference? And why is what I do catagorized as Transliteration?

If your translation has a source link, it also is worth less than points than a translation that doesn’t.

If you translated it yourself you should not write anything in the "translation source" field. If you just copy translations from another website you get less points than for a translation that you did by yourself. If you didn't do the translation yourself of course you should give the link to the source.

Even though this topic is closed, I feel like no one answered your Translation vs. Transliteration question, so here goes.

A translation is when you translate from one language into another. These are worth 10 points, or as others have said, less if you did not create the translation yourself. So for example, with Japanese into English, turning the word 歌 into the word "song" is translating.

A transliteration is when you take lyrics that are written in one script and write them in another - usually this is writing how they would be pronounced using Roman letters. These are only worth 3 points. Using the same example, rewriting 歌 out as "uta" (this is how it's pronounced) is transliterating.

Hope this helps!
