Man Purse

I am not from Hesse (2)
I am only here to visit
You can just forget me
I am the post code book. (3)

I was not important before
I used to be schizophrenic.
I hardly know myself
We're sorry, I must go now.

Too much talking, too little sleep
Sleep is unhealthy
Too much asked, too little done
and that is unhealthy
that is unhealthy
that is unhealthy
And makes you stupid
that is unhealthy

I am unstoppable
even by force
Why don't you go home alone,
I won't say anything more today

Too much talking, too little sleep
Sleep is unhealthy
Too much asked, too little done
and that is unhealthy
And makes you stupid
that is unhealthy
And makes you stupid
that is unhealthy

The raining getting on my nerves
The raining getting on my nerves
The raining getting on my nerves
I have already experienced this before.

Hey Uta, fucking shit
I need this bullshit fur and as quickly as possible
Is that somehow possible, for you to bring
that to me on Sunday morning?
I would be home for damn sure.
Salutations

(1) Herrenhandtasche literally means "manpurse" but it is also used in German referring to a sixpack (as in Beer)

(2) Hesse is both a cultural region of Germany and the name of an individual German state. It is located in central Germany

(3) A book of postal codes used to facilitate the delivery of letters and packages.

Good job! A couple of corrections:

'Ich bin nicht aufzuhalten' -> 'I'm unstoppable' or 'you can't stop me'

'auch nicht mit dem Gewalt' -> 'not even by force'

'Geh' doch allein nachhause,' ->'(Why don't you) go home alone'

'ich sag' heut garantiert nix mehr' -> 'I won't say anything more today for sure'

'Ich hab' das schon einmal erlebt' -> perhaps you could add an 'already', 'I have already experienced this before '

EDIT: 'Der Regen regt mich auf' means 'the rain is getting on my nerves'

I've corrected some othographic mistakes in the original lyrics and added a missing paragraph.

Mostly pretty well.
But some lines are wrong. Many of them were already mentioned by caillean7.

"Und macht doof" means "and makes stupid".

"auch nicht mit dem Gewalt"
contains a grammar mistake (it would need to be "der Gewalt" or rather just "Gewalt"), I suppose it's intentionally.

"Geh' doch allein nachhause,"
roughly means "then just go home alone!"
It's difficult to translate.

Btw, the expression "Männerhandtasche" isn't used everywhere in Germany - I don't think I have heard it before.

English speakers don't say, "Make stupid." Americans would say, "act the fool" but it doesn't work well in this context.

I haven't heard the expression either and I grew up in Hessen.

Well... I guess I technically grew up in Baden-Württemberg. I was in Heidelberg, but also Frankfurt. =p

Well, the line doesn't mean "act the fool", it (combined with the lines before) means that asking too much and doing too little makes you stupid.

Okay, great.
You forgot to correct it in the end of the second chorus.

caillean7caillean7    বুধ, 02/04/2014 - 18:47

Well, it's not a term you hear every day, but I knew it... my father even has such a thing. Perhaps it's Hesse-specific Teeth smile

ScieraSciera    বুধ, 02/04/2014 - 19:11

Might be. Here in Rhinehesse it's not common at least.
