I glavu ne gubim,
Kada sam bez tebe!

Kada te ne vidim,
Ničega mi nema,
Pa opet želim te,
I mislim gde si ti?

Da li si negde u svetu zla bez cilja,
Tražio ljubav koja odlazi,
I shvatio da lutaš?

You Are Wandering

When I don't see you
I don't cry, no!
I don't lose my head
When I see you somewhere!

But then again, when you don't catch my eye
Something is missing
But then again, I want you deeply
And I think about where you are

Have you been searching for a passing love
Somewhere in this wicked world without any goal
And then figured out you've been wandering?

When I don't see you
I don't cry, no, no!
I don't lose my head
When I am without you!

When I don't see you
Everything is missing
But then again, I want you
And I think about where you are

Have you been searching for a passing love
Somewhere in this wicked world without any goal
And then figured out you've been wandering?

"Have you ever in this evil world without any goal" is it just me or should da lisi be translated into "are you" rather than
"have you"

everything seems perfect except at the end...

Da li si negde u svetu zla bez cilja,
Tražio ljubav koja odlazi,
I shvatio da lutaš?

are you out there somewhere in this evil world without aim
searching for passing love
then you figure you've been wandering

something in that vein

actually maybe its sort of right with have you ever but something pertinent still missing
Have you ever BEEN OUT THERE IN this evil world without any goal.

find a way to say that with less words lol

Thank you for expressing your doubt, that part was the trickiest for me to translate. It has to be present perfect, not present simple, because "tražio" and "shvatio" are verb forms that denote past actions. As for using too many words, I don't think it is bad: it's better to always try and make sure nothing got lost in translation, rather than keep it short. I'll try and think of a better way to say it. Stay tuned to see the changes! Teeth smile

i meant this was too wordy "Have you ever BEEN OUT THERE IN this evil world without any goal." my serbian is a little rusty

"Somewhere in this evil world without any goal
Have you been searching for a passing love"

this sounds better actually

do you have to have "evil world" can it not be "wicked world"?

but starting a question with "somewhere in this evil world...." sounds off in english
how about like "ever been" would be a good substitute word

ever been out in this wicked world without aim
searching for passing love
then figure out you've been wandering?

"nothing got lost in translation" yea its a good translation i got it even with rusty serbian. so thats sort of like a testament to how little was lost in translation

I know you meant that the line you suggested was too wordy, but I see this happen to me a lot, also, which is why I wrote that being wordy is sometimes okay. Wink smile As for "wicked world" instead of "evil", of course it is better, the expression simply didn't cross my mind. And as for starting a question with "somewhere..." I'll simply change the line order, and hope the case is closed. Teeth smile Although it never should be, because there is no reaching perfection without admitting you're not perfect.
