Manifest

Soviet power plus electrification
are not communism[1]
though it's undeniable
that they can't get through Stalingrad
though it's undeniable
that they can't get through Stalingrad

Long live the President
Long live the President

You can't sell it off, you can't sell it off[2]
even if it doen't work
even if it doen't work
no sales of hope
no sales of existance
no vows to Virgin Mary

And given the time
the looks
the bad reputation
the infinite desires
the need for infinity
refine feelings
disobey rituals
you're worth more than
a salary increase
you deserve more than a guaranteed job
which you won't have
which you won't have
which you won't have

The confusion is great
above and below the sky
dare the impossible, dare
dare to lose
The impossible is great
the sky is above and below
you can only lose yourself
you can only lose yourself

Ta-yung grabbed another rocket
turned the bazooka, aimed at the jeep
Long live Ta-yung

[1] The first verse directly negate a quite by Lenin: "Communism is Soviet power plus the electrification of the whole country." It's not clear who doesn't pass by Stalingrad (soviet and electricity? Germans?) even in the original.

[2] This is ambiguous in Italian. "svendere" means to sell for an impractically low price, and metaphorically means both "sell off" and "sell out for little money". The verb also bears ambiguity, as it could be impersonal ("it's not allowed to be sold off") or third person ("it doesn't sell itself off"). I chose a sort of middle ground.
