Miss Tham comes back to the village

Hey, who is that, she looks like Miss Tham
The daughter of brother five, she just came from abroad
She as pretty as a star, so beautiful
All the boys in the village come to admire her
Not so long ago she was still jumping rope for a few coins
Not so long ago she would go running around the place
But now Miss Tham is as pretty as a fairy
See her pretty face, her velvet skin and her languid eyes
Her curved eyebrows, her wet lips, a silky velvet around her
Her umbrella nicely spins in her hand, her shoes are Western style
Looking at her, everybody would like to hide her behind weeping willow branches
Everybody secretly loves her
And all would like to bring home this sensible young girl
 
Hey, who is that, she looks like Miss Tham
Like a silky flower, beautiful flower
But today Miss Tham is not different from other girls in the village
Conical hat adorned with poems slanted against the sun drawing low
With her wide sleeved shirt, she has the grace of our countryside but in her nice shoes the young girl is going to a distant market
On her way back for sure, more people will recognize Miss Tham
Because she behaves according to our local habits
As many people to love as there are young lovers
In the upper village, in the lower district, people are eager to know
And each family is dreaming of having her as their daughter-in-law
