A poem about the constellation of Ursa Major.
Author's thoughts: The Big Dipper is perhaps the most familiar asterism in my life ever since I was a little kid. The stories behind it always fascinated me. Even to this day, it is among the first recognizable pattern of stars I see when I walk out to greet the night sky.
A poem about the stars Castor and Pollux.
Author's thoughts: Before I knew what stars they were, I could always recognize them by how far apart they were from one another. As I learned the names of them, I recall hearing of them from an old episode of Star Trek and more recently in the Hunger Games film series.
