This collection contains songs sung in standard Arabic (or MSA) to help those, who are studying Standard Arabic :)
P.S: Religious songs and nashids are excluded here. I may make another collection for them.

Hm, shouldn't all songs in the Arabic category be either in MSA or in the Arabic used in the Koran?
For other varieties of Arabic we have "Arabic (other varieties)" after all.

But this was hard to apply as hundreds of Arabic songs are still categorized under “Arabic”, it’s hard to change each one of them to “other varieties”

I agree with you. The problem is that we are not making a big change this way. We will be having more than 20 different dialects all marked as "Arabic (other varieties)". Songs in MSA are less than 5% of Arabic songs in this site.

Do you know, actually I wonder why there is a lot of German dialects in this site, while maybe the number of all German native speakers are less than the number of Egyptian dialect native speakers! (I mean no harm. I'm just showing a point I believe is worth discussing)

As far as I remember, it hadn't been an uncontroversial choice to even add any dialect categories of Arabic based on the opinion of the user base.
I don't speak any Arabic, I personally don't know how much Arabic dialects differ from each other compared to German dialects, but the categories we have for German are the major dialect segments of the language which are not very well mutually intelligible (I grew up in the area of the central dialects, and I wouldn't be able to understand a pure version of one of the other dialects in spoken form and struggle with it in written form). Therefore having translations between them makes sense.

According to Glottolog, there are 22 High German languages (for which we have 7 categories here) and 36 Arabic languages (for which we only have 2 categories). Now Glottolog isn't perfect but it does give the impression that we might want to add more categories for Arabic.

I think that you understand what was I talking about. To be honest, even among Arabs it is not popular (or even acceptable) to consider dialects as separate languages. But reasons for that are religious and ideological rather than lingual. This is a well-known problem for AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALL who study Arabic.
As for me, I'm with separating Arabic content in this site at least to major dialects
