I would like to know the language of the song on this translation request page.

I'm pretty sure it's neither a Romance nor Slavic nor Germanic language, and no Japanese either, but that leaves quite a few possibilities open Regular smile
I would bet on an African language, but it's only a wild guess.

Thanks in advance.

It's written there in comments that it's Afro-Cuban. So maybe Yoruba? Just a guess either, I like the song)

Well I really have no idea. Ideally I'd like a transcription, so I suppose we'll have to wait, hoping for a speaker of the language to drop by Regular smile

You may wait for ages because it's Italian that stands for song language in the request. I'd like to look on an average Italian speaker trying to transcribe this murmur.

That's the idea behind this thread. The request is just a repository for the vid Regular smile

Brat, maybe my poor English doesn't help: I don't understand your comment (I'm an average italian speaker, I guess...).Could you explain better its meaning?

Perfectly normal, Anna. Brat's way of saying things requires a bit of getting used to Wink smile

Originally the song was posted on a transcription request with Italian as the language, but obviously this song is not in Italian.
Brat just said (in a colourful way) that Italian speakers would not know what to do with it.

Mi piacerebbe vedere la tua faccia in quel momento in cui proverai a decifrare questa "canzone italiana". Regular smile

I guess it's a Southern Italian dialect. Very far south, kind of Yoruba, I guess. Wink smile

last time Italy tried to extend that far South, it didn't work out very well.

Hello everyone! Teeth smile
Thank you very much for your help! I had put Italian in the transcription request because I had no idea of the language spoken and as the artist comes from Italy, I had concluded that the language spoken would probably be Italian ^^ But thanks to your help I will for the moment change the language into Yoruba as long as it is sure that it is this language or another spoken in the song! Wink smile
And I'm glad you liked the song Demonia!

There was also a huge population of slaves from Congo brought to Cuba. Could it possibly be Congolese? (Remember Gloria Estefan's hit "Conga"?)

As far as I know, there is no "Congolese" language as such. The official language of the Republic of the Congo is French and a few different languages are spoken in the country.

Oh! That hadn't occurred to me. Thanks for the education! Teeth smile

Well, that's part of our not-so-glorious colonial past...
