Στου δειλινού την άκρη αποκοιμήθηκα

Über den Übersetzer
*I added "alas!" because the word "ξενάκι" in greek is a diminutive form of "stranger" and it is used to emphasize the graveness of the state of being a foreigner/immigrant, usually in order to evoke sympathy.
*Possibly a reference to Ecclesiastes 3:20:
"All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return."
*Ambiguity in the original: "γέρνει" can both mean "is leaning" and "is sinking" to better serve the context.
*César Vallejo was a Peruvian poet. The song lyrics were inspired by one of Vallejo's poems entitled "Poema para ser leído y cantado"(Poem to be read and sung)
