Pending moderation

I realized that I received a badge. But, where was the fanfare, the party, champagne, the ceremony bestowing an honor?
What was it for, why me, who suggested, and who voted for and against it?

Having examined my output in its various forms, I sincerely hope it was not for the number of comments I left... I wow to reduce them in the future.
I also want to thank Michael Zeiger for joining after I got my badge - I have considerable concern he would have stollen my thunder, albeit not in leaving comments category.

I'd like to know if we can have an upside down badge for ridiculousness and a dislike button which would allow me to make my feelings known without a comment (in turn, helping my goal to reduce the number of comments - win-win!)

I thank everyone who has helped me especially as I struggle with all languages I know, think I know, studied, or plainly don't know!

Your Badge is red IT means you have written many comments. Mine is blue that means i have solved many requests I got my Badge last week and I was also suprised that I didn't get an explanation why I was honoured. For next Badge I would like to get that =a simple notification explaining why I got that

It's not easy to think it, but the reward really is in knowing that we're helping others.

Three years from now someone nice may discover an artist (singer/performer) and become interested in their music. They will search for the transcription and/or translation and find it and be benefited.

Or they may become confused by an idiom and find an explanation that makes its meaning click.

Or they may find a comment but not know if it can be trusted, if it's accurate. When we click the "like" button, potentially it shows others the validity or trustworthiness of the statement, at least in some cases.

As for fanfare, I, having sipped much champagne, at present wearing a garish floor-length velvet ceremonial hooded robe, hereby bestow upon each of you the title 'sir' or 'dame'.

I wish, Maria. You know what they say: "горбатого могила исправит." I just slowed down due to SPS, pity not praise. I tried to joke by opening this thread and leaving other jokes, but to tell you the truth, there were some very sad family matters this month, and I struggle with everything: grammar, words in general, emotions, comments... I lashed out at our friend, Phil, and felt it was time to quiet down, but "I'll be baaack."
