Claiming themselves "patriots"

And the youth are getting conscious
We should listen to them talking

Citizens from other ethnies
And their culture.

While keeping an eye
On globalisation

And all this nonsense political rivalry
I'm an advocate of humanitarian causes
And passionate about my planet.
So, I don't know what you think,
But for me it would make sense,
To make something around which people could gather
That would make us innovate
For a more equal society
Where development would be sustainable
Once there, I'd definitely tick "yes"
For a country...
So well, after all that, I take what remains
of my Quebecker's pride
And I say to you "till next time!"

*as opposed with you/tu, that has a nice effect on how intimate that letter (to a politician) is
*On May 20, 1980, the PQ held, as promised before the elections, the 1980 Quebec referendum on its sovereignty-association plan. The result of the vote was 40% in favour and 60% opposed (with 86% turnout). Lévesque conceded defeat in the referendum by announcing that, as he had understood the verdict, he had been told "until next time."
