Equilibrium - Met (Englisch Übersetzung)

Dost thou know of the big bang from the horn?
Dost thou know of the reason for the Northman's anger?
Clear as the water from our valleys,
Yellow as the ripe ears of wheat,
It must flow from the barrel,
So we pour battle and victory.
Mead, Mead, Mead, Mead, Mead, Mead
High in the North, deep in the fog
Where the men sail with Njørd
There we want to swing our axes in battle
After the hunting season singing at the fire
Raising the horns and the tankards
Mead, it is a blessing to the Æsir
Mead, Mead, Mead, Mead, Mead, Mead

Aasen more commonly spelled (and in the correct lyrics of this song) Asen is the German word for Æsir, a race of the Norse Pantheon including Thor (Donnar), Odin (Wotan) and Tyr (Tiwaz). Njørd is a Vanir god of the sea and father to Freyr and Freyja; he was traded to the Æsir.

Though more commonly "Du" is translated as "you" in english, it still means "thou", just as Dich means "thee". Ihr translated as the plural form for "you" (or you all/ you guys), it means "ye". In English we would call "thee, thou, thy, etc..." Old English or archaic syntax, but technically it is still used commonly in German today.
