Currently teaching myself German and Japanese.
Pretty interested in German, Swedish and Icelandic.
I only translate from German when I've made sure I've fully understood the meaning of the lyrics and I'm comfortable with the grammar and vocabulary. Trying something too intrincated or difficult would be really cool if said translation was just for me to improve, but I prefer not to risk making others misunderstand.
I'm able to read and understand basic Japanese —hiragana, katakana, low-level kanji and some weird ones I tend to memorize for some reason—. Though I often look up the more advanced kanji, I don't consider myself even close to being proficient. However, transcription is fine.
Corrections and comments are always welcome, as well as requests.
"But a vessel, alive,
For a time, I would thrive,
That was all,
Nothing more lay below it…
But a vessel, adrift,
Not a theft, nor a gift,
That was all -
But a pulse, but a poet"
