Полюбила за что == an abbreviated form of "За что [я] полюбила [тебя]", literally meaning "For what [quality] did I fall in love with you". To properly translate it, you still need to use "with you" even though it is missing (but assumed) in the original. Your translation "Why did I fall in love" in Russian would sound like: "Зачем я влюбилась" without mentioning anyone in particular, which is not quite the same.
