Agradeço muito, finalmente há alguém que pode nos ajudar com a língua de Cabo Verde. Sempre fui um fã de Cesária, mas com um domínio mínimo da lingua, é quase impossível apreciar as canções :)))

A língua cabo-verdiana tem dois grandes grupos dialetais, o de Sotavento (principalmente na ilha de Santiago) e o de Barlavento (principalmente na ilha de São Vicente). Cesária Évora é de São Vicente e cantava mais nessa variante, que é também a que conheço melhor, felizmente. ;)
Desejo traduzir pelo menos para português e inglês todas as canções cabo-verdianas que estão aqui em LT e, se possível, acrescentar mais.
Na medida da minha disponibilidade também tentarei rever as traduções que já foram feitas. Muitas vezes alguns erros têm origem na transcrição dos poemas. Alguns CD editados em França (e não só) trazem por vezes erros na transcrição.
