Bodas negras ( Αγγλικά μετάφραση)
Listen to the story that told me one day
The old gravedigger of the region:
There was an lover who. becasue of merciless fate,
The Grim Reaper snatched his sweet good.
Every night he went to the cemetery
To visit the grave of his beloved
And the people whispered mysteriously
'He's a dead person escaped from the grave'
In a horrendous night he shattered
The ivory of the abandoned tomb,
He dug the land, and took in his arms
The rigid skeleton of the loved one.
And there, in the more than dark darkness,
From a funeral candle to the uncertain flame
Sitted the cold skeleton by his side,
And celebrated his wedding with the dead one.
He tied the bare bones with tapes,
Crowned her stiff skull with flowers
Filled the horrible mouth with kisses
And spoke smiling about his love.
He took the bride to the soft wedding bed
And slept with her in love,
And he was left asleep forever
Holding the rigid skeleton.
(Last two stanzas repeat).
