LT has a lot of lyrics that have these idioms:
"be a man" - https://lyricstranslate.com/en/be-man
and
"Seven Seas" - https://lyricstranslate.com/en/seven-seas
However, for some reason, a list of lyrics is not shown on the pages of these idioms.
:(

For comparison:
"gone with the wind" - https://lyricstranslate.com/en/gone-wind

(this page contains the list of "gone with the wind" in LT lyrics)

This is a real problem or is it because it was intended?

For my experience, I think the idioms are auto lookup the lyrics sources. It should be exactly same words in the lyrics, even capital letter or not.

For example, there is "Be a man" in this lyrics but it didn't be lookup with the idiom because of capital letter.
https://lyricstranslate.com/en/Mulan-OST-Ill-make-man-out-you-lyrics.html

For example, there is "seven seas" in this lyrics but it didn't be lookup with the idiom because of lower case.
https://lyricstranslate.com/en/t%C3%B3th-andi-seven-seas-lyrics.html

I don't know this problem is a bug or not. I think that no mater upper case or low case of the idioms or lyrics sources, both of them should be auto lookup better.

[@LT] - reporting an issue in “idioms” module: I couldn’t edit my comment, had to delete it instead

And, Ivan, the idioms topic was raised multiple times. [@Brat] has a secret code to the idiom problem, I believe.

"head to toe" - https://lyricstranslate.com/en/head-toe
"On top of the World" - https://lyricstranslate.com/en/top-world
etc etc etc

It sounds that the problem isn't as I mentioned early. I just searched some lyrics sources to support Ivan. Even some idioms can be lookup with English translations, but I'm still curious what the problem is about the idioms' lookup with lyrics sources.

For example of "pass away",
This lyrics source doesn't be lookup with "pass away", but it's lookup with another idiom "Save the day".
https://lyricstranslate.com/en/anna-netrebko-angels-pass-away-lyrics.html

For example of "head to top",
And I just submitted the lyric "Head To Toe", but it doesn't be lookup any idiom.
https://lyricstranslate.com/en/lisa-lisa-head-toe-lyrics.html

For example of "On Top of the World",

I had so many issues adding idioms, I threw a tantrum and gave up. As someone mentioned, there are some tags that can be typed into the lyrics. I haven't tried them yet. Can't remember how/where to find them.

Wow! The bug has been fixed and now the list of lyrics is already showing.
*thumbs_up*
But now there emerged other bugs. For example:
"be a man" - https://lyricstranslate.com/en/be-man

  1. The page shows: "Lyrics containing the idiom: 644 lyrics". However, when you click on the number (644) is shown only a list of 20 lyrics. As you can see the other 624?
  2. For some reason, other words are shown instead of "be a man" idiom. F.e. - "man", "maniac", "many", "mani".
  3. It shows the lyrics in other languages instead of English. F.e. - "Geunyeo meori badi heori dari mal mothaneun beomwikkaji
Gwansim eobtdan mari namjaroseon mani eoisangsil
    Jakeun jeseuchyeo hanaedo ppeoki gaji
    "

Please fix these bugs!

Generally I would agree but, seriously, with this particular idiom I'm not sure.
I could say: "Be a man, stop crying like a baby"
or " Be a man, give me another chance".
It seems to me to be two different situations and two "kinds" of man. In Polish one would be "mężczyzną" the other "człowiekiem". In Russian, if am right, it would be "мужчина" or "человек". You would have to understand more deeply to decide
If you took 20 random samples out of 600+ it would almost surely be good enough but if the search algorithm worked by author's name or source name you could even be stuck with just a couple of authors and one type of example.

That is: do you think that the idiom "be and man" is equivalent to the words "many", "man", "mani", "maniac", etc?
:-o

Not on your life :-) !!! You mean of course "be a man". But on the other hand would you count the distribution of each "candidate" out of 600 and decide by "majority vote"?
Two conclusions:
The algorithm has to be improved: You take just "the string, the whole string and nothing but the string" and reject all the other "candidates". Then you show the embedding phrase. And even then you have surprises like the one I pointed out.
It's so much easier if you know the idiom exactly or approximately and are just reminded of its existence :-)

Why then is this your message?
I wrote ONLY about one thing: "Search for idioms does not work correctly!"
And I brought specific examples of this.
Why are you lecturing here and talking about abstract things?
*angry*

Sorry, didn't want to offend you. You did point out the problem with specific examples. I saw it as a symptom of a larger problem and outlined a possible way to solve it. It's not for you, actually. Some support staff will see it (or not) and take care of it (or not). I just gave some pointers for the algorithm. In my eyes it's definitely doesn't count as lecturing (and algorithms definitely are no more abstract than verses, stanzas and rhymes and yet we labour on them). But I coul'd be wrong, so be a man, forgive me :-)
