Philosopher's stone

Verse 1:
Every day I close the brackets
Nothing feels like hockey in the braincase.
On the beach and in a hopeless traffic jam
I feel I don't belong anywhere.

I'm smoking in an ice-cold stairwell,
My phone doesn't go anywhere.
But I'm so eager to be useful,
To know that someone needs me.

Chorus:
I always feel happy
In the places where I can be sincere,
Where I can blend into the crowd
And may not pretend to be someone else.

Let the fate have me running in circles
The philosopher's stone has cracked
But the suicide butterfly is ruching
Toward the fire

Verse 2:
The fire of colorful revolutions,
The streams of words that pour from the screens
Didn't give me any instructions
On how to save my soul.

When pushed against the wall,
I can easily discern the shades.
And everything that used to seem crucial
Now looks so shallow

Chorus 2x

"Мой телефон никуда не ездит."
"My phone drives nowhere."

Тут скорее всего имеется в виду, что телефон не перемещается по столу от вибрации звонка, то есть никто не звонит.
