O what beauty you have on your face!
The rainbow thrown on your shoulders
O you lip flower, how you have broken me!

O how the place got filled with ginger
Like the chirps in the woods
The one who awoke my songs
Like a shoot-up above her [girl] friends [she] went

The braids embroidered like the [corn] cob
Have you dyed them in the moon?

1. It's the way that people from Vlora pronounce "krye"
2. "Ajo, moj, që këngët m'i zgjoi"
3. It should be "Τ'i merr veriu në lëmë"

A couple questions/notes:

1. What does "lip flower" mean?
2. So ç' = "how" here; what case is taken by "u mbushe"? Accusative?
3. "Billonjë" = "shoot-up", i.e. a flower that grows tall, I assume;
4. Baluket = forelocks, what is the base form? Baluk? Baluke? Balukë? EDIT Apparently it's balluke. No wonder I couldn't find it, it has ll :). Fixing to balluket.
5. Is stisur a participle? In that case, of what verb?
6. So "mos" can act as a question particle? What is the difference with "a"? (Mos i ke ngjyer na hën' vs. A i ke ngjyer na hën')
7. Should that be "në hën'"?
8. "ia merr këngës" = "I start singing the song" and "s'të shkontë" = "didn't suit you", uh-huh.

1. "lip flower" "flower lip", (the one who's lips are like flower). This is an artistic, creative, idiosyncratic use of language; it's not an everyday term
2. "ç' " is a particle used to express surprise, sorrow, joy, etc. or to express negation or indifference. Εxamples: "ç'u kënaqa!" (oh, how was I satisfied!", "ç'na mërzitën" (oh, how they bored us!), "ç'e pyet" (oh, don't ask!). In this case it is used to express surprise. From my limited understanding of Albanian grammar, I would say is that the noun "the place" here is in the nominative case. What got filled with ginger? The place (got filled with ginger)
3. Exactly! "Billonjë", extremely rare word. Standard Albanian uses "lastar". The latter is very common word, difficult to translate. It's meaning is similar to the English "scion". In Greek it is equivalent to "βλαστάρι". Here it refers to the young woman who is growing tall fast.
4. "baluke" or "balluke" (bangs)
5. "e stisur" (adorned) = adjective, ''ballin e stisur" (the adorned forehead) (''ballin" here is accusative, i think)
6. "mos" is a particle. It is used to negate before verbs in the imperative mood: "mos fol!" (don't talk!). When used before verbs in the interrogative mood expresses doubt, uncertainty, or fear: "mos nuk vjen vallë?" (perhaps s/he is not coming?), "po sikur të mos vijë" (what if s/he is not coming?". When used before verbs in the interrogative mood is similar to the greek " 'Αραγε?"
6. It should be "në hënë" in Tosk and standard Albanian.
7. One can write an entire study on the use of the verb "merr" (take) in Albanian when used to refer to singing. Perhaps I can find the time to deal with it on some other occasion. But long story short, it has to do with the form and structure of the Albanian polyphonic songs/singing: https://youtu.be/TfOvbb43m6o?t=238

Re the case in #2, I meant what case is xinxërfile in.
Re 5, I was wondering if it's a participle or not. Is there a verb "stis" or something like that which means "adorn" and has past participle "stisur"?

2. I think it's nominative (not sure though)
5. "e/i stisur" is an adjective. The corresponding verb is "stis" (make up, invent). The "adorn" meaning is archaic Tosk. Modern Tosk uses "stolis" (from Greek "στολή") for "adorn" (Standard Albanian uses "dekoroj" from French "decoration"). Past participle would be "stisur", or "stolisur" (modern Tosk). The infinitive ''për të stolisur/stisur" (to adorn), Gerund "duke stisur/stolisur", (adorning).

(or dekoruar, Standard Albanian, of course :) )
