You, With the Long Sleeve, with Long Sleeves

You, with the long sleeve, with long sleeves, what did I say to you dear that made you upset?

You, with the long sleeve, with long sleeves, what did I say to you dear that made you upset?

She stabbed me with her Levantine dagger and broke my bones apart with her fingers

Oh, God, for my wound and pains, the night got longer and my eyes knew no rest

You, with the long sleeve, with long sleeves, what did I say to you dear that made you upset?

I saw her sitting with henna on the tips of her fingers

I won’t give my beloved away even if they offer me the most precious treasures

You, with the long sleeve, with long sleeves, what did I say to you dear that made you upset?

What did I do to upset that girl, the one with those rosy ember cheeks?

I’m asking nothing but her love, (but) I afraid that she fell in love with another one

You, with the long sleeve, with long sleeves, what did I say to you dear that made you upset?

You, with the long sleeve, with long sleeves, what did I say to you dear that made you upset?

Author's comments:

[الرُّدْنُ] is the sleeve, here in the song appears in its diminutive form [رديِّن]. When you address someone as having sleeves, this mainly means that he wears a garment with long sleeves.
