Bülbül Kasidesi

İsmi sübhan virdin mi var?
Bahçelerde yurdun mu var?
Bencileyin derdin mi var?
Garip garip ötme bülbül

Ötme bülbül ötme bülbül
Derdi derde katma bülbül
Benim derdim bana yeter,
Bir de sen dert etme bülbül.

Bilirim âşıksın güle
Gülün hâlinden kim bile.
Bahçedeki gonca güle
Dolaşıp söz atma bülbül.

Ötme bülbül ötme bülbül
Derdi derde katma bülbül
Benim derdim bana yeter,
Bir de sen dert etme bülbül.

Bilirim âşıksın verde,
Cünûnun var gâyet serde.
Şu sînemde olan derde
Bir de sen dert katma bülbül.

Ötme bülbül ötme bülbül
Derdi derde katma bülbül
Benim derdim bana yeter,
Bir de sen dert etme bülbül.

Psalm of The Nightingale

is The Fathers name your mantra?
are those gardens your home?
is your plight just as mine?
don't sing in sorrow nightingale

don't you flutter sweet nightingale
don't add fuel to this fire
My plight is enough for me
don't you add to this too

I see you feel for the rose,
who'd know of the rose?
beating around the rose bush are you?
whispering your song to the budding rose

don't you fly away sweet nightingale
don't add to this sorrow,
my plight is enough for me
don't you add to this too, sweet nightingale

I know you fell for the green
quietly turned to worldly gains I see.
Don't add to this issue in my head
my sweet nightingale

don't flutter my nightingale
don't add fuel to this fire
My plight is enough for me
don't you add to this too

will you take flight and migrate?
will you fly over the rivers and seas?
won't you be worldly too?
sing a tale, tell your story

don't you flutter in sorrow
don't add fuel to this fire
My plight is enough for me
don't you add to it too

conforming, are you?
en-caged & well nourished?
mourning for the passing world?
don't sing your lonesome song

don't flutter my sweet nightingale
don't add fuel to this fire
My plight is enough for me
don't you add to it too

as Yunus adores you,
as he claims there is no other like you,
with his twilight mantra, chanting; "truth, truth"
don't you forget us too nightingale

don't flutter my sweet nightingale
don't add fuel to this fire
My plight is enough for me
don't you add to it too

Author's comments:

Yurd in turkish has come to the meaning of homeland, the word comes from the word yurt - a portable tent like bent dwelling structure traditionally used by nomads in the steppes of Central Asia.
